Jhoanna's POV
The loud slap on my table woke me from my deep thinking. I looked up and saw our team leader smiling at me while pointing at the papers he had placed on my table.
"This is the best script I've ever read so far" he said, which made me smile even though I was confused.
"I'll submit this to the boss. Thank you for creating this" he added at ginulo ang buhok ko.
Before I could say anything, he left, taking with him the papers na ang laman ay ang script ko na pinag hirapan ko for months.
It's been two years since I started working here, and day by day, as I create better scripts, my position at work keeps rising.
I'm one of the writers who creates scripts for well-known documentary series, variety shows, and reality shows for other artists.
Despite all of these achievements, I'm still on my journey to reach my goal of becoming a news anchor, a field reporter, and pinag hihirapan parin ang dream ko to be seen on-screen.
I've tried everything, and even small exposures bring me so much happiness.
"Well, it's just another silly script that the bosses love" my smile faded as Louise approached me.
Stacey was right about her. Louise is now my main competitor when it comes to script writing, and I won't lie when I say that she's talented.
She excels in her work and already has some exposure. She's one of the reporters who goes out into the field to deliver the news.
"Please not today" i said trying to calm myself dahil i know she's trying to annoy me again after hearing the compliments
"So... kailan ka nga ulit magiging reporter?" she asked me as if it's not a sensitive topic among us
Hindi ako sumagot at nag focus nalang sa ginagawa ko. Hindi na ulit siya nag salita at umalis na
I looked at my wrist watch to see if aabot ako sa pupuntahan ko.
After waiting and siting in front of my computer all day, mabilis akong tumayo at kinuha ang gamit sa table.
Sana umabot ako sa show.
I went to a flower shop first to pick up my order before I drove to the event.
I glanced at the rearview mirror of my car before getting out. There's a lot of media outside, all waiting at the entrance and exit of the venue.
I could see some of my coworkers busy in the midst of the chaos. I walked to the entrance and showed my invitation para makapasok.
I was so glad I arrived on time.
As I walked toward my assigned seat, I saw the girls who were clearly amused by the place.
"Jhoanna" masayang tawag ni Shee when she saw me kaya kumaway ako.
