(SLIGHT TRIGGER WARNING! Sorry, I have to say that because you never know and it's better to be safe than sorry).
Mia's pov
~~~~~~~~
"Mia, you ready?" Canada asked me as I was getting ready in the bathroom. Today was the Fourth of July, America's birthday. I was dressed in a red v-neck, blue jeans, and a white butterfly clip in my hair. I smiled myself in the mirror before I walked downstairs."Yeah, I'm ready," I replied. He smiled and picked up Kuma as I grabbed the gifts we got Alfred which were the video game Super Smash Brothers and a football.
"Ok, let's go, eh," he said as we went outside to get into the car. We didn't have to drive too long until we got to America's house. We knocked on the door and Alfred answered the door.
"Hey dudes!" He exclaimed and then looked at the two gifts, one in my hand,
the other in Matthew's hand, "Are those for me?" We both nodded as we handed him the gifts."Thanks, dudes. Come in and have fun!" He yelled as he moved out of the way so we could come in. America then lead us to a big room which I assumed the party was being held. It was a HUGE dance floor. I looked at Canada who seemed to be looking around awkwardly while holding his polar bear.
"You ok?" I asked with concern laced in my voice. He nodded.
"Y-Yeah..." He stuttered. I saw Ashton running towards me and Matthew.
"Hey guys!" She exclaimed while smiling, "Prussia was just telling me tips on how to dance."
"He can dance?" I asked. Ashton nodded and grabbed my arm.
"Yeah, come on!" She exclaimed as she dragged me away from Canada. I was brought in front of Prussia and he wiped his white hair out of his eyes.
"Hey Mia," he greeted, "Need any dancing tips?" I giggled and shook my head.
"No thanks," I replied. He started to sway his hips to the rhythm.
"Fine, your lost that you don't want any awesome dancing tips from the awesome me," he huffed. I let out a short laugh as I looked at Ashton.
"Where's Jessica?" I questioned.
"Oh, she's reading over there," Ashton answered as she pointed to a wall where Jessica is reading a book. I smiled and nodded.
"Thanks," I uttered as I walked over to Jessica, "Hey Jessica." She looked up from her book.
"H-Hey..." she mumbled as she went back to reading. I could tell she really didn't want to be here. I sighed. I really want her to have fun.
"I know you hate parties, but-"
"WAIT! YOU HATE PARTIES, JESSICA!" A surprised America yelled as he walked up to us. Jessica only nodded, not lifting her head out of the book.
"BUT WHY?!" He said in such sorrow. She simply shrugged.
"I don't want to talk about it..." she stated. Alfred sighed.
"Fine..." he replied sadly as he walked away.
"You know he's probably worried about you, right?" I told her. She stiffened as her cheeks turned a light shade of pink, but she quickly hid it.
"He shouldn't..." she mumbled. I sighed as I walked back to Ashton. I know Jessica probably just wants to read so I'll leave her alone. Right when I got back to Ashton and Prussia, I heard someone tap a microphone.
"HEY DUDES! DO YOU GUYS THINK THIS PARTY IS RAD?!" Alfred exclaimed. Mostly all of us screamed 'yeah' at him.
"Alright, cool!" He stated, "Since it is my birthday and all, I want to play Hatafutte Parade. So everyone get into a circle and hold hands!"
