As Sayantika’s voice filled the room, every head turned toward her, but it was Abhiansh who looked the hardest. His eyes scanned her eagerly, searching the space beside her, yet when he didn’t find Vedikaa there, a flicker of panic shadowed his gaze. His heart began to race, and a wave of unease washed over him, gripping him with a sudden urgency he couldn't suppress.
"VEDIKAAAA… Vedikaa baccha, kaha ho aap?" Sayantika’s voice wavered, trembling as she called out, her tone heavy with desperation. Her gaze darted frantically around, searching every corner, but her daughter was nowhere in sight. A lump formed in her throat, and the sting of tears blurred her vision as panic clawed a her chest. She swallowed hard, the emptiness beside her feeling like a void she couldn’t bear.
"Sayantika baccha, Vedikaa kaha hai?" Vikram's voice cut through the silence, laced with rising worry as he looked around, not seeing his granddaughter anywhere.
"P-Pata nahi, p-papa… y-yahi to thi, kaha gayi?" Sayantika stammered, her voice trembling as tears slipped down her cheeks. Her hands shook, and a sense of dread weighed heavily on her every word. Abhiansh felt his heart clench painfully at the sight of her unraveling.
The room seemed to close in, thick with a suffocating silence. A chilling realization settled over them all — Vedikaa wasn’t there. She was gone, taken right from under their eyes. She has been Kidnapped.
Sayantika looked at Abhiansh and went towards him,he looked at her when he saw her infront of him,
"Kaha hai, kaha hai meri bacchi," she whispered, her voice cracking, a desperate edge in her tone. Her eyes, swollen and bloodshot from hours of relentless crying, darted around the room, searching, hoping. He could feel the weight of her words sinking into him, and a chill ran down his
spine. His throat tightened, and he swallowed hard, the words he needed to say trapped under a mountain of guilt and fear. How could he tell her that Vedikaa… their Vedikaa… had been taken? The truth felt like poison on his tongue, but he knew he couldn’t hide it much longer."I think... she is kidnapped," Aradhya’s voice quivered, each word hanging in the air like a storm cloud ready to burst. Sayantika’s head snapped toward her, shock flooding her expression as the realization crept in, cold and relentless. Her face went pale, eyes wide, and for a moment, she looked as if she might collapse under the weight of those words.
Her gaze drifted, almost instinctively, toward Abhiansh, who was already watching her, his eyes heavy with helplessness and sorrow.
"K-kya y-yea sache hai?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper, fragile and broken, as if each word drained what little strength remained in her.
"Chup kyu ho Abhiansh, bolo kuch, ANSWER ME DAMEIT!" Her scream tore through the silence, reverberating off the walls, breaking every barrier he’d tried so hard to keep up. she demanded, her voice cracking with raw anguish.
Abhiansh’s gaze dropped, his eyes squeezing shut, as if looking at her was too much to bear. He could feel her piercing stare, the weight of her pain bearing down on him like a storm.
She wiped her tears away roughly, her expression hardened, fighting for some semblance of control.
"Kya aab kyu niche dekh rahe ho, Mari taraf dakho or bolo Abhiansh," her voice broke again, quieter this time, pleading, "k-kya k-kya Vedikaa sachme kidnapped ho gai hai."
His shoulders slumped as he forced himself to look up, to face her. He gave a small, defeated nod, feeling the weight of it all in his bones.
"H-haa," he whispered, the single word hanging in the air between them
