Meantime, Burt and Patty rallied up the critters and had them come to the Laughing Place.
"Howdy, critters!" Burt announced.
He gestured at Patty. "I'm Burt and this is..."
"Totally unfair!" Patty finished. "I can't believe all the cool people get to go out and party and I'm stuck here babysitting."
"Patty; her name is Patty" said Burt. "And tonight, we're in charge of the mountain! Yay!"
"Boo!" said Brer Rabbit sourly.
"Brer Rabbit, a little respect please" said Burt.
"Sorry, Brer Burt. I had ter do it" said Brer Rabbit.
"Hey. Since Brer Chad n' Brer Jeremy's away, we can do whateva we want" said Brer Bear.
"Yeah. Party in Chick-a-Pin Hill! Let's go!" said Brer Fox.
The critters started to leave, but Burt stopped them.
Patty was trying to leave too, hoping she could escape in the crowd.
"Wait! Wait. No one's going anywhere" said Burt. "That means you too, Patty."
"Ugh! So close!" Patty grunted.
Then Burt presented a stack of books. "Now I welcome you to the edge-of-your seat thrill ride that is, sci fi!"
The critters were all groaning at the idea.
"Dat's de mos' borin' idea I ever heard" said Brer Bear.
"And later, we'll stain glass like there's no tomorrow" said Burt.
"I stands corrected" said Brer Bear.
"Alright. It's time to sci fly!" Burt announced.
"Boo!" the critters yelled in unison.
"Okay, that one I deserve" said Burt.
Meantime, Chad, Jeremy and Jill had just gotten to the Country Bear Jamboree.
The theater had wooden benches, sorta like bleachers. There were three stages with red curtains.
Three animal heads were hanging on the wall on the side. A moose, a buffalo, and a stag.
"This theater is lovely" said Jill.
"Isn't it?" said a deep voice.
"Who said that?" said Chad.
"I did. Up here" said the voice.
The three looked up and saw that the voice belonged to the buffalo head on the wall.
"Well well well! If it ain't Chad Stuart and Jeremy Clyde" said the stag head.
"You know who we are?" said Jeremy.
"Of course" said the moose head. "We know everyone in Frontierland. We just don't see them because we're hangin."
"Well, we're glad to meet you" said Jill.
The buffalo looked at her. "And who are you, my dear?"
"This is Jill. Chad's wife" said Jeremy.
"Well, howdy there, Mrs Chad Stuart" said the moose head. "I'm Melvin."
"I'm Buff" said the buffalo.
"And I'm Max" said the stag.
