„Look at Anna, sitting in the middle of the graveyard, talking to the priest and pretending that nothing happened last night" i think to myself as i'm getting inside the church.

How can she be so unbothered? Or am i going crazy? Was it all just a dream? But it felt so real...All this thoughts are drowning my mind but i take a sit on the church bench far away from Jenna's casket that was placed in front.
I cross my legs and without intending to i overhear a conversation:

„they won't burry her, they will place the casket inside a tomb" someone whispered. - „like the pharaohs back in the days?" - „exactly".

I was shocked to hear that and i have to admit that it was a bit weird, but maybe they have their reasons.
As the priest starts talking, the silence covers the church walls and a tap off my shoulder wakes me back to reality „- Did i scared you?" Molly whispers and sits next to me.
- You're late, i say.
- I didn't have much sleep last night, i keep having these weird nightmares.
- You too? i say underneath my breath.

Anna walks past us in a hurry with a paper on her hand getting closer to Jenna's casket and with a beat of a heart she takes a microphone and leans in close to it: „Thanks to everyone who came to the funeral, my daughter was very loved by me and her sister Molly, she was a very smart woman......."

I get lost in her words, which fades into the background like echoes in a vast empty room.
I lean my head against the cool surface beside me and hand Molly a tissue „Thanks" she says wiping her tears.

Everything was so foggy, i couldn't hear Anna's words or anyone's for that matter, i was still stuck on last night and this spooky church wasn't helping.

As i turn my head to my left to look out the window i see a dark silhouette creeping from the trees „what the heck"? i say and stand up:
- Molly, i'm going at the toilet. i whisper.
"i need some fresh air anyway" i say to myself making my way around the exist.

The graveyard lay shrouded in a tapestry of autumn leaves, the gnarled trees stood sentinel, their bare branches reaching towards the gray sky like skeleton fingers as the gravestones are covered in the morning fog. „there's no one here" i say looking at the trees, „God, please don't tell me i'm going crazy" i continue and lean on a gravestone.

A very cold wind, colder than usual touches the back of my neck, i turn around and look away in the distance at the church when a man looks at me from behind a well:
- You scared me, i didn't see you there, i say taking a step back.
- It's okay, i was just watching the church, i love that old building, he says while sitting down on the leaves.
- Are you new in the city? I ask him.
- Yeah, kinda...what about you?
- No, it's actually my home city, i came back for a funeral.
- I'm Aidan Davis, he says and shakes my hand.
- Cassie Whitlock, i say and sit near him on the ground.
- The Cassie Whitlock? Aidan says while looking into my eyes.
- Excuse me?
- Your house burned down right?
- How do you know? i say in frustration and stand up.
- Well it was all over the news...I'm not some stalker, please, he says and smile trying to hide the embarrassment.
- It's okay...i say and cross my arms.
- I'm sorry for your little sister...
- Thanks, i say feeling uneasy.

While taking a better look i realise that he's good looking with strong facial features, stunning black hair and hazel eyes wearing this white suit with a tie, which is weird for a graveyard "maybe he's a classy man" i say to myself.
But what catches my attention the most was his formal shoes, the ground was wet filled with leaves, yet his shoes are still clean.

He looks at me smiling showing off some dimples and asks as he stands up:
- You're back here for Jenna Carter's funeral, right?
- Yes, and i can't wait to leave...this town gives me horrible nightmares...i say and lean on a gravestone.

I see how Aidan scans me with his eyes, maybe he thinks that i look good in my long black dress that hides the boots, with a long lather jacket and a scarf around my neck the same length as my blonde hair till near the shoulders. „I'm going crazy" i think.

The church bells ring in the distance, letting me know that it was the time for the burial, or all that tomb thing everyone was talking about, as i clean my dress from the leaves, i turn my head to Aidan just to find him staring at me:
- I really need to go, but we stay in touch? i ask.

Aidan smiles and nod his head in approval:
- Cassie? he yelled as i'm going down the heal.
- Yes? i replied.
- Stay away from Anna as far as possible, Aidan says and smiled.

I stoped for a second and look at the small figure of Anna in the distance, then look back but Aidan was no where to be found.
"What the heck just happened" i whisper.
