= „Layla? i say with tears in my eyes running to hug my little sister again, i can't believe you're here!"
Layla's cute pink dress is moving as the wind blow.
"Hi Cassie, how's mum and dad?" Layla asks.
"We all miss you princess, i'm so sorry i couldn't save you" i say and hug her.
„ Is mum still keeping my old clothes"? Layla asks and runs away from me.
I ran after her frowning.
„Yes she is, why are you running from me?" I say while tears drown my face.
The forest is filled with fog and as i try to find my way back to my sister, all i can hear is laughing in the background and some footsteps approaching me.
"Layla??" I yell at the top of my lungs "where are you??"
I fall down on my knees looking around as the forest spins around me, when a mysterious man came and hits me causing me to collapse into a grave.
All i can see is the sky and a familiar face looking down at me repeating „Find out the secret". =
I wake up dripping in sweat with my heart racing like a horse just to see Anna sitting at the end of my bed „Dinner is ready" she whispers with a corny smile on her face.
I'm looking at her terrified as she leaves the room when Molly enters leaving the door open smiling:
- We have a guest, she says and throws a pillow at me, come downstairs.
- Molly wait, what was Anna doing in my room? i ask standing up off the bed.
- What do you mean? I thought she's still asleep?
Hearing that made my skin crawl, i was petrified but i knew that i have to find out the secret, so i ask Molly while getting dressed:
- So, do you mind if i stay over for a few more days?
Molly jumps up from the chair and hugs me as i'm still in my bra:
- Are you kidding me? Please stay for as long as you want! now get dressed and come downstairs.
As i'm walking down the stairs to get to the kitchen a cold wind blows my hair „amazing, they left all the windows opened" i say and try to fix it back with my hands.
"Looking good today" a voice tickled my ears.
- Aidan?! What are you doing here? i say and look at Molly.
- Aidan showed up at our door this morning when you were asleep, he said he's your friend so i let him in, Molly says and plays with her hair.
"You gotta be kidding me" i say to myself as i sit down on the table.
- So Aidan, tell us about yourself, Molly says.
- Well i'm the only child and i live in Vexon, about thirty minutes away from here, Aidan says pouring wine into his glass.
- Vexon? So vintage, Molly says and looks at me with a playful smile on her face.
- Yes i guess it's quite vintage.
- So how did you and Cassie met? Molly asks.
- At the graveyard...i replied with a blush on my face.
- So romantic, Molly whispers.
"Come on Molly, why are you embarrassing me?" I think to myself.
- I go wake my mum up, I let you two love birds talk.
Molly vanished up the stairs giggling.
My blood was boiling to ask Aidan where he disappeared yesterday and also about the secret but i needed a way to start the conversation:
- That ginger friend of your Molly is really funny, he says.
„This is my chance„ i says underneath my breath:
- So Aidan, where did you disappeared last night?i ask and put my elbows on the table.
He avoids the question at first by looking around the kitchen:
- Where is the water dispenser? He asks.
- In the corner of the room...i say while pointing at it.
Aidan stands up and walks through the water dispenser. I follow him and with an annoyed expression on my face i ask:
- Why are you avoiding my question?
He took a sip from the water and looked me in the eyes:
- I just left.
- That fast?
- Cassie stop...
- No! How do you know Anna? And what secret were you talking about? look Aidan, i'be been having this nightmares lately ...
- Enough! Aidan interrupted me, do you want to know the truth Cassie?
- Yes! i yell.
- Then find it out yourself, i already risked too much by coming here.
- What do you mean?
- It's hard to explain, but make sure to stay safe.
- If you're in danger then why you came here?
- Because of you, i can't stop thinking about you Cassie...
His eyes met mine, as he gets closer to me i'm finally able to see his beautiful hazel eyes better and to smell his aftershave.
He looks at me with intrigue and his lips almost touched mine, but he turns his head around and whispers to my ear „stay safe, and start with the ginger friend, ask her as many questions as you can".
I'm watching him leave through the back door, and as i blink, he disappears in the foggy forest from outside the house.
Molly comes back and with a blank stare asks:
- Where did Aidan go?.
„Why was he in danger? and what should i ask Molly?" i said to myself while drinking wine and looking into Molly's eyes as she smiles at me.
