Ten years after the end of the Titan war I was waiting in my office at Athena Architecture, which I had founded. My client ran in five minutes late with a boy with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. The combination made me think of Luke and I had to do my best not to tear up.

My client noticed my face"Are you okay?"

I nodded"yeah it's just that about ten years ago I had a crush on a guy who when he was little looked a lot like your son and he died."

My client frowned" That's a coincidence! Sam here is nine! He'll turn ten soon though." She said gripping her son's shoulder.

I cleared my throat."to the designs?" I asked.

She nodded"designs."

"Hey Lu- I mean Sam, I've got a basketball hoop and a couple other things over there if you want to use them." Sam walked over to the corner of my room and started peeking around the stuff.

When his mom and I were talking designs Sam walked over to me and asked"What's this for?" Holding out a plastic fencing sword.

I stopped my presentation and looked at what Sam had."it's a kids fencing sword. When I was little a lot of my friends fenced and I fenced a little. My husband was the best fencer other than Luke." At that moment Percy walked in.

My client gasped" Whoa! Are you Percy Jackson the Olympic gold medalist for swimming and fencing and the famous marine biologist?"

Percy nodded" Yeah, I wanted to surprise my wife at her office."

"I was just telling Sam here how you were a great fencer as a kid." I told him.

"He looks like-"Percy started.

"I know."

"So, do you wanna fence, I could teach you a few tricks." And Percy and Sam went in the corner to go and fence and I went back to my presentation.

"This one is called the viper beheading strike." Percy said and showed him. Sam did it perfectly and said"50 more repetitions."

Percy gaped at him but shook it off."You're really good! Let's try this disarming maneuver." Sam aced it.

"Do you wanna fence for real now?" Percy asked.

Sam shrugged"I only know two moves."

Percy smirked"I think I know how you could even beat me. All you have to do is think the name Luke Castellan and that might work."

Sam nodded and he and Percy started fencing. It got so intense that my client and I stopped to watch.

"Could Sam get hurt?"my client asked nervously.

"Those are plastic, they won't leave a mark they're so dull." I assured her.

It took until the end of my clients appointment for us to decide the winner. Sam did a a couple of jumps just to confuse Percy and the end of his sword tip was held to Percy's throat. We erupted in applause and my client said" Honey, where have you fenced before?"

"I haven't."

"Your son is a natural."Percy complimented" He was better than me my first time.

"Well, your first time you only got to swing but the second time you aced a maneuver that took me months to get." I pointed out.

"He aced that too."

"WHAT?! How?"

"And every other move. I swear, he could be Luke reborn."

Sam narrowed his eyes" you guys believe in rebirth?" He asked earning a scolding from his mother.

"Yeah, we have Greek roots."

Sam looked at his mother."Mom, can I keep fencing with Percy?" He begged.

"I don't know, it might get in his way-"

"Your son just beat me, it would be an honor to fence with him."

I wanted to get you some roses as a thank you but Sam insisted that I get you a pine tree so." She trailed off and handed me the Pine tree. After a close look I noticed it was the same exact kind Thalia was.

"Tell him I said thank you. Pine trees bring back a lot of memories for me. I love them. I swear, one of my friends was a pine tree."

Nico looked sadly at the pine tree" I knew that Luke had been reborn, how had I never guessed that Percy's student was him?"

"A friend, my first real family."Annabeth sighed.
"A traitor that cost many lives and started the Titan war."Nico added.
"A son of Hermes and the best swordsman in 500 years.."Percy admired.
"Kronos."Thalia ended.

Hazel and Frank gasped" what?! You guys used to be friends with Saturn?"

Annabeth shook her head"it's a long story."

"I've got all week." Hazel prodded.

"You've been hanging around Percy and Sadie too much." Thalia sighed.
