So far, being Praetor was boring. All Reyna and I went over were reports from old ladies about nothing. I ended up writing a huge essay to one of them, reassuring her that I'd take care of it. It ended up being more than one page, so I went to go find a paperclip.

"Where are you going Jason?" Reyna asked, not even looking up from her paperwork.

"Going to find a paperclip to put these two pages together." I explained.

Reyna looked up "I found a whole drawer of staplers. Use those."Reyna suggested.

"It might be better if I used a Paper clip." I lied. I was scared of the stapler. I had gotten stapled by one before, and it hurt, not to mention caused a scar.

Reyna laughed"Really Jason? You sound like you're scared of a stapler."

I bit my tongue. No one wants a Praetor who's scared of staplers."Well, then I guess I'll have to prove you wrong, huh. Besides, who's scared of staplers?! It doesn't even make sense!"

Reyna raised an eyebrow"Praetor, son of Jupiter, you're scared of staplers?" She asked, holding back laughter.

"No!" I protested, but it came out more like a question.

Reyna snorted"How are you scared of a stapler?" She started laughing again.

"I am not scared! I am scarred, okay! You see this on my lip?" I asked, pointing at my scar. Without waiting for a reply, I continued"I got this when I was little. My-" I stopped myself. The old Praetors told me not to tell anyone about my older sister, Thalia. "My mom wasn't watching me when I was with a stapler, and I got curious."

Reyna was laughing.

It's short, but there's another Jason coming.
