RHAINE STARED UP AT THE LARGE MANSION THE NEXT DAY, its elegant façade illuminated by soft lights that danced across the windows. It felt surreal, standing outside a venue that looked like it belonged in a magazine, buzzing with the anticipation of a birthday party for one of the biggest celebrities in the industry.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm the flutter of nerves in her stomach. It's not your first time at events like this, Rhaine.
Just then, Mr. Jin appeared beside her, extending a hand with a broad smile plastered across his face. "After you."
She glanced at him then back at the grand entrance where glimmers of laughter and music spilled into the night. "Uh, thanks," she replied, her voice a little shaky.
"Remember, just have fun. You look great in that dress," he encouraged, nodding approvingly at her outfit. "I'll be around if you need anything."
When he stepped away, Rhaine felt a mix of excitement and anxiety wash over her. With one last glance at the mansion, she took a deep breath and stepped inside, ready to face whatever the night had in store for her.
Rhaine glanced down at the dress Mr. Jin had chosen for her. It was a stunning black gown that hugged her curves in all the right places, the fabric shimmering with tiny sequins that caught the light with every movement.
The tight fit accentuated her waist and flared slightly at the bottom, giving it a graceful silhouette. The plunging neckline added an element of boldness, but it felt foreign to her—she wasn't used to wearing something so form-fitting and glamorous.
Rhaine sighed, trying to shake off the thoughts. Tonight was about having fun.
As she moved further inside, her eyes widened at the sight of multiple celebrities mingling around her. She spotted a few well-known K-pop idols, their trademark styles on full display as they posed for photos with fans and fellow guests.
Rhaine recognized a popular actor in the corner, animatedly chatting with a group of people, while a couple of influencers shared stories on a nearby sofa, their laughter echoing through the room.
She then realized she already lost Mr. Jin in the crowd.
Whatever.
The atmosphere was electric, filled with the kind of energy only a gathering of the elite could generate. Rhaine felt out of place among them, the sparkle of her dress now a reminder of how far removed she was from this glamorous world.
Just then, Rhaine was approached by a familiar face, her energy infectious and bubbly. She wore a radiant smile, her sparkling outfit perfectly complementing the lively atmosphere of the party.
"Hey! You look amazing!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with enthusiasm.
Rhaine smiled back, feeling a little more at ease. "Thanks! I could say the same about you." She then realized who it was. "Wait, I recognize you... you're from LE SSERAFIM, right?"
