A/N: people were disappointed that they didn't see Mr. Jin and Mr. Park go, and I agree, so here it is :-)

NI-KI PUSHED THE DOOR OPEN TO HIS HOUSE, his hand firmly wrapped around Rhaine's. They were both still catching their breath, the event of the day coursing through them. Rhaine glanced up at him, her cheeks slightly flushed, but her lips tugged into a small, content smile.

The moment of peace was interrupted by the sharp voice of Mr. Jin.

"You have some nerve, Rhaine," he said, standing in the middle of the living room with his arms crossed. Beside him, Mr. Park looked equally displeased, his disapproving glare aimed squarely at Ni-ki.

Rhaine instinctively stepped closer to Ni-ki, her fingers tightening around his. She wasn't usually one to back down, but the tension in the room made her heart race.

She had already been stressed out enough.

She found herself half-hiding behind Ni-ki's arm, peeking out only briefly to gauge Mr. Jin's reaction.

"What part of 'this was the plan' did you not understand?" Mr. Jin continued, his voice rising. "You were supposed to leave, Rhaine. Pursue your career. This—" he gestured sharply between the two of them "—was not part of the agreement."

Ni-ki's jaw tightened, his gaze turning icy as he stepped forward, shielding Rhaine completely. "That's enough," he said, his voice calm but carrying a dangerous edge.

Mr. Jin scoffed. "Enough? Do you even realize what's at stake here, Ni-ki? This isn't just about you—"

"No," Ni-ki interrupted, his tone firmer now. "This has always been about you two trying to control every part of my life. You told me what to wear, how to act, who to date—even when I didn't want to." His hand tightened around Rhaine's, his thumb brushing over her knuckles as if to reassure her. "But not anymore. I've had enough."

"Ni-ki—" Mr. Park started, but Ni-ki cut him off with a sharp glare.

"You're fired," Ni-ki finally said the words.

The room fell silent.

"What?" Mr. Jin asked, his disbelief palpable.

"You heard me," Ni-ki said, his voice cold. "Both of you. You're fired. Pack up whatever you need from your offices and get out. I'll have someone send you the rest of your things."

Mr. Park took a step forward. "You don't know what you're doing, sir—"

"I know exactly what I'm doing," Ni-ki snapped, his calm demeanor cracking for a moment. "And for the first time in a long time, I'm doing what I want."

Rhaine looked up at him, her eyes wide. She'd never seen this side of Ni-ki before—fierce, unwavering, protective.

Mr. Jin shook his head, muttering something under his breath as he grabbed his coat. "You'll regret this," he said, his tone laced with venom.
