THEA SMITH

Standing in front of my closet, I scanned for something to wear. "What about the pink one?" Ava asked over video call. I held it up, inspecting it.

"Babes, you're going to rock that one!" she declared.

I nodded, agreeing with her.

After slipping on the dress, I looked at myself in the mirror. A blush crept up my cheeks as I remembered last night's conversation and the thing we did. I could hardly believe I'd let someone that close to me. Taking one last glance, I headed downstairs.

In the living room, all four of them were waiting—Dimitri, Ivan, and Nikolai shot me teasing smiles that made me blush. Then my gaze landed on Ro. My breath hitched. This guy... this Greek god... could he really be interested in me? A wave of insecurities washed over me, but I pushed them aside. Not now.

He wore a black shirt with matching pants, his billion-dollar watch glinting in the light. Our eyes met, and I got lost in his intense gaze until Dimitri cleared his throat, making me look away in embarrassment. Ro stepped forward, took my hands in his, and leaned in, whispering, "You look beautiful, love."

"You don't look bad yourself," I replied, earning his million-dollar smile, which made me grin in return.

Author's POV

Once they reached their destination, Yaroslav stepped out and walked around to Thea's side, opening the door and offering his hand. She accepted it, stepping out and looking up at the sprawling farmhouse before them. Yaroslav kept her hand firmly in his as they moved forward. Thea felt a wave of nervousness, while Yaroslav felt only anticipation.

Thea gasped as her gaze settled on the scene before her—a beautifully arranged table surrounded by delicate candles casting a warm, golden glow. It was breathtaking, like something out of a dream, and for a moment, she couldn't believe it was real. Her heart swelled, remembering the first time she'd saved an image like this on Pinterest, fantasizing about a moment like this. And now, it was here, right in front of her.

She looked at Yaroslav, who was already watching her, a knowing smile lighting his face.

"It's beautiful," she whispered, her voice soft with awe.

"Nothing compared to you," he replied, his tone low and intimate, sending a rush of warmth through her. He extended a hand, guiding her to the table and pulling out her chair with a gentlemanly ease that made her heart flutter.

They settled into the dinner, laughter and playful banter flowing between them like old friends rediscovering each other. She teased him about his perfectly tailored suit, and he threw a witty remark back about her infectious smile. They asked each other questions, the kind that made her feel he wanted to know her in every way possible. Beneath the laughter, though, was something deeper—a quiet, unspoken pull that drew her to him in a way she hadn't felt in years.
