Freen's POV:
I woke up with a pounding headache, my wounds still tender from the fight. As I tried to sit up, I felt a gentle grip on my waist. Reality hit me like a ton of bricks - Becky had seen me at my most vulnerable, crying and broken.
"Will she still love me?" I wondered, my heart racing.
I turned to face her, and my breath caught in my throat. Her beauty mesmerized me, and I felt grateful for her presence.
"You're my lifeline," I thought, "but I don't want to drown you with my darkness."
Overwhelmed, my eyes closed again.
When I woke up next, Becky was nowhere to be seen.
"Did she leave me?" I panicked.
But why should I care? I shouldn't.
Just as I was lost in thought, the door opened, and my angel stood before me.
"You're awake," she smiled, caressing my cheek. Her touch sent shivers down my spine.
"Come down when you're ready. I made breakfast."
I craved her touch, feeling empty when she left.
We ate in silence, the tension palpable.
"Can we talk?" Becky asked, breaking the silence.
"What now?" I wondered.
"Stop thinking so much," she teased. "I want to discuss our bet."
My heart skipped a beat.
"You want me to leave, don't you?" I accused, trying to stand.
But Becky pulled me back onto her lap.
"No, Sarachoa. I want you to stay with me," she whispered, eyes shining.
"For one year, be my girlfriend. I'll shower you with love."
My voice trembled. "To stay with you?"
"Yes, one year to love you," she replied, happiness radiating from her.
"Okay," I whispered.
Becky jumped up, beaming. "Let's get your things from your house."
I sighed, following her. Her presence was my solace.
"But will she ever break down my walls?" I wondered.
As we drove, Becky's hand found mine, her touch soothing my fears.
"Maybe," I thought, "just maybe, I'll let her in."
