The nightmares come to all members of the home-- each different but of equal nature. All of the sleep demons surface to bring misery to the one's who loved the girl who was lost.
The whimpers that fall from Sienna Sinclair's lips are what normally wake the sleeping members of the home. It's the screams that threaten to wreck her body or the gasping for oxygen that induces the wakeful state. Normally. However, Jason DiLaurentis is the home to those demons tonight-- the one to wake up panting and gasping for oxygen, terrified of what he'll find when he wakes.
The demons had come on suddenly, luring him to sleep with a lullaby and then trapping him in the dark where he is doomed to watch as his brother takes his lover, again and again.
The underground calls to Jason, guiding him to Sienna as she rests below-- but at the last second, he's pulled back and away she goes. Again and again.
The torment continues, relentless, until he awakes and her head is resting against his chest.
She was there in an instant to offer him comfort-- for Sienna Sinclair is the girl who loved. The comfort was immediate, like every cell in her body called to his and they bonded together as one. It was easy as science. There was no greater bond than the one shared between the pair of souls.
Together, they lay unmoving-- trapped in a tight embrace that they refused to break. It was Jason who was desperate for the touch and Sienna who was desperate to give it to him-- to hold onto him the way he always held her, to be the one to offer him strength and a shoulder to lean on.
The boy was shaky, his eyes dazed and clouded by tears as they stared at the ceiling, defiant and refusing to look at the girl inside his arms. The atmosphere felt like an invisible threat lingered upon them and if he gazed upon her, she would turn to dust and disappear.
Maybe she would. Jason isn't so sure. Life is cruel. It gives and it takes, takes, takes.
"You're real?" Jason whispers, his voice as broken as it was the day he found out she was missing. Disbelief etched the words as he lay frozen, preparing himself for the moment that everything around him dissolved into thin air and he is left alone again.
