"Alright! Other ideas on how to get out of here? Maybe one that doesn't involve me getting bitten or almost dying?"

They had brainstormed ways to get out of the cell all of yesterday as well as this morning. And so far the only way they had come up with included Yubin biting Gahyeon to get enough strength to break out. It was an option neither of them exactly liked for a variety of reasons.

"There aren't that many other options." Yubin was sitting cross legged in front of the barrier, carefully watching Gahyeon walk back and forth on her side of the cell.

Today Yubin hadn't touched her blood bag either, unlike Gahyeon who had snarfed down her breakfast like her life depended on it. Well, it kind of did, so. But Gahyeon slowly started to recognize the other girl was getting weaker. While Yubin had been on her feet a lot before, either standing or walking in her cell, now she was sitting a lot more. It was clear that the missing food was taking a toll on her. Still the vampire refused to drink.

"There has to be another way to get out." Gahyeon refused to acknowledge that her options were limited. She always found a way out, so why not this time?

"I'm afraid there isn't. Realistically speaking." Yubin still watched her attentively as Gahyeon examined everything in her cell to the detail. Even her walls weren't spared. There just had to be something to get them out somehow.

"Thanks, real helpful." Gahyeon snapped back sarcastically.

"Hey, it's not my fault you don't take my idea as a possibility." Yubin held up her hands lazily, a devilish smile on her face even in her weakened state.

"Again. I am not letting you drink from me." Gahyeon crossed her arms. Being on friendly terms with a vampire was one thing, but letting that same vampire bite her was another. She was in no way mentally prepared for that. She didn't know if she would be ever, to be honest. That still sounded so scary to her, even though Yubin was the least scary being she had ever met.

"I'd bet you'd taste amazing though." The vampire licked one of her fangs and winked.

Gahyeon turned her back to the other girl and let her hand glide along the wall, looking for something, anything, as long as Yubin wouldn't see her blush. That was flirting, right? Or did it just sound like that in Gahyeons head?

"Hmm." She managed to answer, not trusting herself with actually saying real words before she regained her composure. "But didn't you say you never drank from a human before? Wouldn't that go against your principles?"

Yubin rested her head in her hands on thought. "True. But this is not an ordinary situation and you're not an ordinary human. I might do it to get us out of here."

"Oh please, don't talk about my blood again." Gahyeon groaned. She remembered the look on the other girl's face clearly when she bled the first day of their imprisonment. Yes, at the time she had made fun of her, but there had been something else in her eyes that day. Hope maybe?

"How can I when you're an inkblood? We could literally be the most powerful force if we worked together. Just one little sip from your blood and I could easily tear down these walls." Yubin said, a grimace on her face.

"Hard pass. I'm not going to let you drink from me. I do have dignity. Plus it looks like you're not really enjoying that thought either." Gahyeon pointed at Yubins face, who quickly rearranged her features back to normal.

"Wouldn't it mean you're the same as your mom?" Gahyeon knew she was provoking the other girl a bit with this question, but she needed to ask to figure out the girl more, though she was hoping for a certain answer.

"I'll never be like my mom." Yubin growled, suddenly standing up and turning her back to Gahyeon.

It had been the second time now that the vampire turned her back to her and Gahyeon couldn't stop to wonder why. The girl hadn't done that the days before, so she wondered if it had to do with the fact that she hadn't fed yet. She wondered if her lessons maybe did have something true to them. So far everything else she had learned turned out to be a lie or a twisted version of reality. She wondered if one very specific thing might be true and if the vampire tried to hide it from her.
