Connie blinked as Sasha started tying her shoes.
"And... how am I helping?"
Sasha glanced up. "Well, I can trust your opinion. I need to know what looks good," she stood. "And in return, I can buy you some new swimming shorts!"
Connie blinked. "You don't have to-"
Sasha grabbed his hand and pulled him up. "But I want to! C'mon. You tell me which swimsuit to buy and I'll do the same for you!"
Connie lightly blushed as she dragged him out the door. "I dunno, Sasha... do you really think you can trust my opinion?"
Sasha smiled at him. "Of course!"
Connie sighed in defeat as he got in the passenger side of her car. "Alright..."
Sasha laughed and buckled in, Connie doing the same.
"M'kay. What color should I get?" Sasha asked as she pulled out of the driveway.
Connie looked out the window, and noticed a faint blush in his reflection. "U-uh, I dunno... something that will bring out your eyes?"
Sasha nodded. "What would that be?"
Connie bit his lip, then rubbed his neck. "Uh... w-well, your eyes are brown, so... maybe a y-yellow or gold?"
Sasha considered this before smiling. "That sounds good." She glanced over at him. "But why do you sound so nervous?"
Connie shrugged casually. "I ... can't choose colors well...?" Sasha chuckled but left it at that.
Connie quietly sighed through his nose. To be completely honest here, he has never seen his best friend in a swim suit. Doesn't mean he doesn't want to...
Connie shook his head. Why is he thinking this? Just because Sasha's figure would look amazing in a bikini doesn't mean that he should be imagining her in one!!
"Connie? You all right there?"
Connie blinked and looked over at her. "Yeah. ...Why?"
Sasha shrugged, turning her attention back to the road. "You just seem... distracted, or something."
"Mm... I-I have a science project due in two weeks..." Connie lightly chuckled.
Which was true, kinda. He did. But, there was no need to be worried about it because he's already finished with it...
Sasha nodded in understanding. "How's advanced Science?"
Connie shrugged. "About the same as normal Science, but more homework."
Sasha laughed as she parked in front of a clothing store. She smiled excitedly.
Connie unbuckled as she did and opened the door to step out.
"Okay, let's go." Connie groaned. Sasha giggled and dragged him by his arm inside. She let go to walk by his side to the summer clothing section.
Connie looked around at how empty the store was. "How come there's not so many people here?"
Sasha shrugged, going through racks. "Probably on vacation."
Connie nodded slowly, watching Sasha examine the various bikinis.
"Ooh, Connie, look at this one!"
It was pretty. A bright gold, not quite yellow. A small fringe designed the top. Simple, but pretty.
Connie nodded. "That looks good."
Sasha smiled and walked off the the 'try on' section.
Connie sighed quietly as he followed her, sitting on a waiting bench. He pulled out his phone, unlocking it and replying to a message that one of his classmates had sent him.
Halfway through the message, he didn't know that Sasha had hesitantly peeked out the door. She bit her lip and nervously stepped out.
"Uhm... Connie?" she said quietly. Connie hummed and looked up, before almost dropping his phone.
Sasha looked gorgeous in that color. Her slightly tan skin complimented the bright gold. It fit her perfectly, especially with her long legs. Her ponytail reached the middle of her bare back, and Connie had to make sure he wasn't drooling. She was blushing as he stared.
"Connie? ...How does it look?"
He blinked. "I-it looks... amazing."
Sasha smiled shyly. "You really think so?"
Connie nodded, a blush growing on him.
Sasha smiled once more. "Aw, thanks. Okay, I'll get this one," she turned to walk back to the changing room.
"You can go ahead and pick out whatever you want. I'll wait where you're at now."
Connie finished his text, then stood and slipped his phone back in his pocket.
'Why the hell am I ogling over my best friend?!' Connie was mentally scolding himself as he browsed through swimming trunks. He found a blue pair that seemed his size.
It wasn't much, just a swirl-ish design between light and dark blue. He walked back to where Sasha was with it in hand.
She looked up and smiled. He smirked back before walking into the changing room and switching into the shorts.
"Let me see!" Sasha said as he looked out. Connie blushed lightly as he walked out if the small room.
Sasha giggled and wolf-whistled teasingly, making his blush grow.
"They look good, Springles!" Sasha said. Connie grinned and rolled his eyes before walking back to change.
After he did so, both were walking back to the front to buy their swimming clothing. The older woman smiled at them as they paid.
"You two are a lovely couple," she said politely. Both of them blush furiously. "W-we're not... a couple..." Connie stuttered.
"Oh, my bad," the woman apologized. "It just seemed as though you are! My apologies!"
Sasha smiled kindly. "It's fine, really."
They took their things back to Sasha's car.
"Want me to drop you off at your place?" Sasha offered as they got back on the road.
"Yeah..." Connie was gazing out the window again.
Sasha chuckled and nodded, taking the road to his house.
