Chapter 7

I watched as the needle of my watch ticked towards the last second and closed my eyes waiting to hear her die.

But, something's not right...
What the-

I opened my eyes and looked at the girl sitting in front of me with her bottle of water ,which she was sipping the water through a straw, like some four year old, her eyes fixed on the big screen in front of her, playing a cricket match.

I waited again, watching her for any signs, but none...

The hell was going on!

I looked at my brother and saw them already looking at each other. I decided to open the pack link.

I blinked and then nodded, signalling  that I was going to open the link now. This was necessary to do or else one of us would probably flinch or think that the sound came from somewhere else.

Eyden-"Why isn't it working, I thought you said that it would work in two minutes and it's been three! Why isn't she dead?"

Damian- I don't know it's supposed to work and I put in four drops of it, which is double the amount necessary.

Me- We should talk to her dad, I reckon. Maybe there is something wrong with the girl...a weird kind of immunity to poison.

Damian- I always use Medusal venom, no immunity can stand against that!

Eyden- What venom?

Damian- Medusal venom. You know the one from the celestial snake who resides in the temple. I forgot the temple's name.

Me- "What's so special about it?"

Damian- "one drop would be enough to kill all three of us..."

Eyden- But, dad always said that poisons and venoms don't work on a werewolf, right?

Damian- You know what! I'll just explain it to you idiots later.
Right now we need to get out of here and go to the room where we can talk.

Me- Actually I think we should go out, I just don't feel safe talking about it infront of her... There's something...about that girl I don't trust.

Eyden, Damian- Agreed...

We broke the link and I focused on the phone we were holding in our hands to make sure that they don't suspect us.

"Actually we have to go to get some supplies at the market that we forgot to pack I hope you guys won't mind if we step out for a bit." I asked Mrs Mehta in the most innocent manner I could muster at the moment.
Well it clearly worked, she seemed to not mind at the very least.

I nodded my head at the other two.

We didn't talk for a single second till we drove out of the grand mansion, with Damian driving and for once Eyden not making an issue of it.

You got to give it to the kid! I mean he's good at the job but I still don't want him here, especially not around her, something about her screamed at me to stay away at the same time, I've never been so attracted to knowing about someone before...
