Chapter 9

We got to the warehouse and immediately sealed all the exits and we stood silent, in the middle of the warehouse.

After listening for a minute to make sure that there was no presence near us I let my guard down and watched as my brothers did the same.

Damian moved quickly and dragged a ragged but rather comfy looking cushion to sit on and then began-

"So Medusal venom can only be harvested from the sacred temple of  Trilokinatha or in simple english the god of the three realms.
The venom is really hard to harvest , every year on a day when the people of India celebrate Mahashivratri, the serpent lying in the temple goes into this kind of trance which makes it easier to collect the venom but if anyone touches the shivaling it rests on then, death is certain as it breaks the trance of the snake."

"So you're saying" Eyden said sounding interested " that the snake lies in a temple then, why the hell hasn't a group of scientists milked out its venom by now?"

"Probably because no mere human can find the temple only creatures like us can" Damian was starting to sound real annoyed now.

"Come on man, we're only asking you because we don't know, besides we'll stop if it's annoying you" I told Damian. The last thing we needed right now was a fight.

"No guys, I'm not mad at you. It's just... I-I can't believe that she survived... it doesn't make any sense..." He buried his face in his hands.

"Hey guys?" Eyden asked slowly " I know that this might sound stupid but what if she isn't... You know a a human."

"Actually that isn't a stupid thought at all, I've been suspecting her from the second I saw Adrian gawping at her like some idiot, not many humans can do that to a werewolf you know, no matter how pathetic he is"
Piece of shit! How dare he say that.

"How about we skip over the jabs and get to the actual plan, please " I said rolling my eyes.

"Actually how about we wait and observe her for a few more days I'll alert Mr Mehta on the change of plans besides he gave us eight days time. I bet we'll still get a day or two after" Damian said.

"I don't know... I'm starting to get this weird feeling that something bad is about to happen. We're missing something out, I really feel like there's more to the picture than what Mr Mehta is telling us. Should I use my powers?"
Eyden suggested wringing his hands.

"NO"
Me and Damian said at the same time

"Oh pleaseee, it's not like I'm some kid anymore" he whined.

"We don't care we are only involving you in this because Aaryan isn't here"

"But-"

"That's an order" I said in my wolf domain.
I was the one who was chosen from birth , I was the only one in our pack with the mark that symbolised the right of the true alpha.
Eyden listened to Damian because he's the oldest but he can also choose to go against him any time he pleases but an Alpha's command had the power of the law for him.

I never really used my inner voice before and I hated doing it but if this was what took to keep my family safe,
Then I must.....
