When Jimin first heard the word "babysitting," he assumed Y/N was using it as a cute metaphor for watching over their cat, Mochi. He quickly learned that this was not the case."No, it's real kids, Jimin," Y/N said, watching him with a mix of amusement and mild concern. "You know, actual human children."
Jimin blinked, still not processing. "You agreed for us to babysit? As in, children? For the entire weekend?"
She nodded, raising her hands in an innocent gesture. "They're my friend Wonyoung's twins. She and her husband have an emergency and asked if we could watch them. I told her I'd ask you first, but..." She trailed off, looking up at him, all hopeful eyes and a smile he couldn't say no to.
The man who instilled terror in the hearts of world leaders, who had a crew of hardened henchmen, and whose genius was reserved for the most infamous of plans, felt the beginnings of panic. Babysitting wasn't exactly his... forte.
Y/N moved closer, placing her hands on his shoulders. "You'll be great with them," she said encouragingly. "Just be yourself. But... maybe tone down the villainy?"
Jimin smirked, pulling her close. "Well, if we're doing this, it should at least be... interesting. What kind of kids are we talking about here?"
"They're sweet," Y/N said, resting her head on his shoulder. "Eight years old, boy and girl twins. They like video games, playing outside, and, I don't know, cartoons?"
"Cartoons," Jimin repeated, as though the word itself was an alien concept.
The next day, Wonyoung dropped off the twins, Eunbin and Jungwon, looking harried but grateful. She gave Y/N a thousand thanks, promising to return Sunday evening and reminding the kids to behave. After a quick wave, Wonyoung was gone, and the adventure began.
The twins stared up at Jimin, wide-eyed and already curious. He returned their stare with a raised eyebrow. This will be easy, he thought. He would simply approach this like any other mission: identify the objective and execute with precision.
"So," he said, bending down to their height. "I'm Jimin. You can call me... Mr. Park."
The kids glanced at each other, giggling. Y/N quickly intervened, patting Jimin's arm. "No need to go so formal, love. Just Jimin is fine."
He shot her a mock glare. "Right, then," he said, turning back to the twins. "What do you want to do?"
Eunbin's eyes lit up. "Can we go outside?"
Y/N gave a nod. "Sure! We have a nice yard. Why don't we—"
"Obstacle course!" Jungwon interrupted, clearly buzzing with excitement. "Do you have one?"
Jimin tilted his head, amused. "Do we have one? Of course we do."
Y/N shot him a skeptical look as he led the kids to the backyard. Despite his own doubts, he felt strangely exhilarated. The twins squealed with joy when they saw the lawn, but Jimin was already inspecting the yard's potential, his mind working out how to transform it into an obstacle course fit for training young recruits... or just to wear them out.
