Damian tore through Gotham’s streets, adrenaline surging through him as he gripped the handlebars of his motorbike. His mind raced with the thought of Raven, trapped and hurt, and each rev of the engine echoed his desperation. Time was slipping away, and he couldn’t shake the image of her pale, unconscious form. He had to reach her—he couldn’t let anything happen to her.

As he arrived at Titans Tower, urgency fueled his every move. He parked the bike with barely a second to spare and swiftly lifted Raven from the seat, cradling her in his arms. The familiar sight of the tower felt surreal under the weight of his worry as he rushed through the halls, each step pounding with determination to save her.

“Dick! I need you!” Damian shouted as he burst into the med bay. The sterile environment was filled with the soft beeping of machines and the faint scent of antiseptic. Dick looked up, his expression shifting from surprise to urgency as he took in the scene.

“What happened?” Dick asked, quickly moving to assist. Damian laid Raven gently on the examination table, his hands trembling as he stepped back.

“She was captured. They… they hurt her,” Damian said, his voice thick with emotion. “She’s injured and unconscious.”

Dick immediately began assessing Raven’s condition, his fingers moving swiftly over the monitors. “We need to stabilize her first. Get me the medical supplies!”

Damian’s heart raced as he watched Dick work, feeling helpless standing on the sidelines. Anxiety clawed at him. Every beep from the machines felt like a reminder of how close he was to losing her. “She can’t die. Not after everything,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.

“Damian, she’s strong,” Dick reassured, his focus unwavering as he cleaned the wounds on her arm and applied bandages. “She’ll pull through. Just stay with her.”

Time stretched painfully as they worked, each minute feeling like an hour. Damian stayed close, holding Raven’s hand, willing her to wake up. “Raven, please,” he whispered, squeezing her hand gently. “You have to come back to me.”

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Dick stepped back, wiping his brow. “She’s stabilized, but we need to keep an eye on her. I’ll monitor her vitals, but she’s going to need time to recover.”

Relief washed over Damian, but the weight of worry lingered. “Thank you,” he said, glancing at Raven’s peaceful face. “I couldn’t lose her.”

As the hours passed, the med bay was quiet except for the soft beeping of machines. Damian stayed by Raven’s side, his heart heavy with worry and hope. He brushed a lock of hair from her face, feeling the warmth of her skin beneath his fingers.

Suddenly, he felt her hand twitch, and his heart leapt. “Raven?” he called, leaning closer, his breath catching in his throat. “Can you hear me?”

Her eyelids fluttered, and she slowly opened her eyes, a faint light shining through the darkness. “Damian?” she whispered, her voice weak but clear.

“I’m here,” he replied, relief flooding through him. “You’re safe now. You’re back with me.”

She blinked slowly, trying to focus on his face. “What happened?” she murmured, confusion clouding her expression.

“You were captured. I found you at the monastery,” he explained, his voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions inside him. “Dick helped you. You’re going to be okay.”

A small, grateful smile appeared on her lips, but then her expression shifted, and she winced slightly. “It hurts,” she admitted softly.

“I know,” Damian said, his voice soothing. “But you’re going to heal. You’re strong, Raven. You always have been.” He leaned in closer, searching her eyes for any sign of lingering fear.

“I felt so… lost,” she confessed, her voice trembling. “But knowing you were coming for me… it kept me going.”

His heart swelled at her words. “I would do anything for you. You mean everything to me.” He reached for her hand, intertwining their fingers, feeling the warmth return to her touch.

As they shared a moment of connection, the world around them faded away. The tension from earlier hours slowly ebbed, replaced by a profound sense of relief. Damian leaned in closer, their foreheads nearly touching, the air thick with unspoken words.

“Raven,” he whispered, his voice low and filled with emotion. “You scared me.”

“I’m sorry,” she replied softly, her eyes glistening. “I didn’t want to be a burden.”

“You’re never a burden,” he said, sincerity etched into every word. “You’re my everything.”

In that charged moment, he brushed his lips against hers, feeling a spark ignite between them. The kiss began softly, hesitant yet filled with longing, but as she responded, he deepened it. The world around them disappeared as he focused solely on her—the warmth of her body, the softness of her lips, the way her fingers tightened around his.

When they finally pulled away, both breathless, he searched her gaze, a mix of relief and affection flooding through him. “I’m just glad you’re awake.”

“Me too,” she said, a shy smile appearing on her lips. “I missed you.”

“I missed you too,” he replied, brushing his thumb against her cheek. “I don’t think I could’ve handled losing you.”

Raven’s smile faded slightly, replaced by determination. “I won’t let anyone take me away from you again.”

“I’ll always protect you, no matter what,” he promised, his voice resolute. “You’re safe here.”

As the night wore on and Raven’s strength began to return, Damian stayed by her side, holding her hand tightly. The fear of losing her faded, replaced by the knowledge that they would face the future together, side by side.

They shared quiet moments filled with soft laughter and gentle touches, their bond deepening with each passing hour. As she drifted back into a peaceful sleep, Damian remained alert, watching over her like a guardian. He couldn’t shake the feeling that their love had been tested in the darkest of times, but it had only grown stronger.

With a silent vow, he leaned down, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead before settling into a chair beside her, his heart full of hope for the days to come.
