Avery's POV
Hindi ko na mabilang kung ilang tao ang nakausap ni Madison tungkol sa kompanya nila bago kami makaupo sa mesa namin.
Medyo inaantok na ako dahil gabi na at inaalala ko pa na kailangan ko pa labhan ang suot kong dress na hiram kay Sam.
"Avery," Madison called out.
"What?" tanong ko nang mahina.
"Talk to me," she replied which surprised me a bit.
Paano kita kakausapin kung ganyan ang titig mo sa'kin?
Ganyan na ba siya ka-bored sa family reunion nila? Kung sa amin 'to, siguro nagto-tong its na kami.
"Well, sige," I replied. "What's your favorite color?"
Nagulat naman ako nang biglang tumawa si Madison sa harap ko. Anong nakakataw doon?
"Avery naman, not like that," Madz said with a chuckle. "Pero, my fave is red, if hindi pa obvious. I mean, let's talk para hindi ako kausapin ng ibang tao."
"Nag-usap na tayo, ah. Tsaka, anong sabi mo, ibang tao? Kapamilya mo sila, hoy!" saad ko na nagpatawa sa kanya.
"They're only after the company," she replied.
"Pati si Trisha?" I asked. "She seems kind naman ah."
"If you only knew," Madz replied with a soft sigh. "She used to steal my dad's clients when she was his assistant para sa company ng dad niya. Anyway, how are you feeling na? It's only been four days noong nagkasakit ka."

Seeing Madison let out another chuckle warmed my heart for a second. Hindi naman pala siya mahirap patawanin.
"They decorated the place just because we have guests. On any other days, simpleng bahay lang ito," Madz replied, sipping from her glass.
"Simple? Simple ito sayo?" tanong ko, tila hindi makapaniwala. "Pumunta ka muna sa bahay namin para malaman mo kung ano ang simple."
I expected her to laugh, but instead, she tilted her head, seriously considering it.
"Sige ba," Madz replied with a firm nod. "Punta tayo sa house mo some other time."
