"With the sun rising on a new day, she found herself among friends, her heart swelling with hope as she stepped into the light of Mondstadt."

The warmth of sunlight stirred you from the darkness, gentle rays filtering through the curtains of a nearby window. Your eyelids fluttered, your body aching, but as your senses returned, the familiar weight of your exhaustion grounded you. Your final confrontation in the Abyss , with that monstrous, forgotten god's fragment, felt like a fever dream—a dance with death, with power coursing through you in ways you hadn't imagined.

But now, you were awake.

"You're finally awake," a soft, melodic voice murmured from nearby. You blinked, adjusting to the light, and as your vision cleared, you saw a young woman seated by your bedside. Her soft blue eyes shone with relief, her hands folded neatly in her lap. She wore a nun's attire, her blonde hair tucked beneath her headdress.

"Who...?" Your voice came out hoarse, and the stranger smiled warmly.

"I'm Barbara, deaconess of the Church of Favonius," she said gently. "Jean told me about you, and I've been tending to you while you rested."

You tried to sit up, but Barbara's hands shot forward, urging you to stay still. "You've been through a lot. Please, don't push yourself."

"Barbara?" The name rang familiar. Jean had mentioned her once or twice, though you hadn't met her until now. You felt comfort in her kindness, but there was a sense of unfamiliarity as you gazed at her.

Barbara smiled, clearly aware of your confusion. "Jean spoke highly of you. She told me everything—about how you helped protect Mondstadt and... your powers. I wanted to make sure you were alright after all that happened."

Her words, filled with genuine concern, brought a soft smile to your lips. "Thank you, Barbara."

Barbara nodded, her hands tightening around yours for a moment. "You saved us, you know. If you hadn't faced that creature... well, I don't want to think what could've happened."

Before you could respond, a small, familiar figure darted through the doorway—a flash of white and blue.

"Paimon!" you called out as the floating companion rushed in, eyes brimming with worry.

"There you are!" Paimon cried, her voice trembling. "Paimon was so worried! You just... you just disappeared into the Abyss, and Aether—Aether and Paimon couldn't do anything!"

Behind her, Aether stepped into the room. His golden eyes locked with yours, a soft relief washing over his face. He was quiet, but the emotions in his gaze said enough. Paimon, still floating, hovered close to your bedside, her tiny hands wringing together.
