Nikolai Russo
Nikolai woke to the golden light of morning filtering into the room, casting soft shadows across Nikita's face as she slept beside him. She looked peaceful, her usual guarded expression softened in the quiet dawn. He watched her for a moment, feeling a strange warmth he couldn't quite shake. But peace was a luxury they couldn't afford.
Slipping out of bed, he moved quietly to avoid waking her and grabbed his phone. He had messages from his contacts — Luca was laying low, biding his time, likely waiting to strike again. They weren't out of the woods yet.
He heard a soft shuffle behind him and turned to see Nikita sitting up, watching him. She raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at her lips. "Sneaking around?"
He pocketed the phone, moving back to her side. "Just making sure we're ahead of things. Luca's not going anywhere without a fight."
She sighed, stretching. "Good. I'd be disappointed if he just gave up."
Nikolai chuckled, the sound low and rich. "Only you would be disappointed without a challenge."
She met his gaze, a glint in her eye. "If I can handle you, I can handle anyone."
He smirked, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead. "Lucky for you, I'm not planning on going anywhere."
A New Plan
As they got dressed, they fell into a rhythm, strategizing over coffee about their next moves. Nikita was sharp and fearless, her mind darting through options with ease, and Nikolai couldn't deny the thrill of working beside her. They were equals in every sense — a dangerous, unbreakable team.
Just as they solidified a plan to track Luca's movements, one of Nikolai's guards knocked, informing them that a visitor had arrived. A familiar face — one of Luca's former allies, now defecting — had important information on Luca's hideout.
Nikolai grinned. "Looks like we might have an advantage."
Nikita's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Then let's use it."
Later That Night
They moved in under the cover of darkness, slipping into Luca's supposed hideout with a quiet precision that was second nature to them. Nikita moved like a shadow beside him, her gun raised, her expression fierce and focused.
And out of nowhere a shrill sound can be heard from the background of the house. They got alert and followed towards the source of the sound coming from.
There was an old window laying their and the sound was now so strong they knew whatever that sound was, that was coming from this room.
When they entered, "holy shit" Nikita said with a frightful yet angry voice.
There was a girl caged in Lucas custom room for fully bruised and her face felt like tortured, she was tied up and used up which made Nikolai and Nikita jolt ip in anger.
Nikita said "I going to kill that Motherfucker!!"
"For Real" Nikolai said before telling his men to rescue the girl and take her safely to the hospital."Where the fuck is that creepy little bastard" Nikita said turning towards Nikolai and saw a Luca behind him trying to attack him with an iron rod "Nikolaaaiii" Nikita screamed...
