Author's note: Part 24/??

The evening at the restaurant went surprisingly well. Ten managed not to hurt himself or the ingredients he was working with, and even Grandmother was satisfied with his help. Prem was proud of his clumsy student. The building was quiet without customers, so peaceful. He, Ten, Paeng and Grandma sat around a table, enjoying the late dinner after a hectic day. The smile on the doctor's face lit up the whole room and Prem wondered if his family could see it too. Prem found himself admiring the tiny wrinkles, appearing at the corner of Ten's eyes as he laughed at something Grandmother said. His heart hammered inside his chest so hard that he had to place his palm against it to ensure it was still hidden inside.

"Are you okay, Cook? Does anything hurt?" Ten noticed his movement. Prem shook his head in denial.

"You don't look well, luk. You should go sleep." Grandmother joined with her concern.

"So that's my cue to leave. It was nice to meet you, grandmother, Paeng." Ten stood up, ready to go home. Prem's heart squeezed painfully. He didn't want Ten to leave.

"It's late, luk. Stay the night. I am sure Prem won't mind sharing a bed with you." Grandma winked at them and if Prem weren't busy calming down his racing heart he would probably blush hard.

"Are you sure? I don't want to impose." Ten looked at Prem for confirmation.

"You can stay. My bed is big enough." Prem agreed. He never felt like this before. Shy, and happy at the same time. His face felt bright red and burned; he could ignite a fire and be charged with arson if something caught fire. Prem chuckled at his silliness, attracting the attention of his sister.

"Weirdo." She snickered as she poked his side.

"Leave me alone," Prem whined.

"Stop you two. Prem take Ten to your room, and you Paeng help me clean." Grandmother instructed.

"Okay. Let's go." Prem grabbed Ten's arm before he could help and dragged him upstairs.

"I am sorry for the little scene." Prem apologized.

"No need for that. It's nice to see siblings interacting like this. I kinda envy you, Cook." Ten smiled at him. Prem opened the door to his room and led him inside.

"You are an only child, Doc?" He asked. Ten nodded as he looked around the tiny place. Prem felt insecure and embarrassed. He hasn't had time to clean properly lately.

"Sorry for the mess."

"Mess? You should see my apartment." Ten smiled at him.
