── .✦ IT WAS JANE'S BIRTHDAY and of course Freddie found himself sat outside of Evie's cottage, enjoying Jane's cake with both Celia and Dizzy, "I'm sorry, Jane. Forgive me." Freddie mumbled to himself after devouring the entire slice and Dizzy giggled, licking the icing from her fingers.
"That was delicious." Dizzy smiled, her legs crossed and Celia nodded, agreeing with her.
"I especially love the lack of dirt." The curly-haired girl added and Freddie furrowed his brows, turning to look at them both. His expression softened when he noticed the cake smothered around their mouths, even Celia had gotten the cake everywhere although she hadn't even finished.
"And the lack of flies." Dizzy pointed at Celia, who took another bite to check and nodded with a smile when she realised that there was, in fact, no flies in the cake.
"There's flies and dirt in your cake back home? Now what the..." Freddie placed his plate down on the stone bench by his legs and squeezed his eyes shut, trying to ignore the small voice in his head shouting profanities at Adam and Belle, who banished the Villains to the Isle of The Lost in the first place.
"Yeah, it's okay though, it's easy to just pick them out." Celia shrugged and took another bite of her cake, "Want some?" She held out her plate towards Dizzy, watching as the girl with space buns eagerly took a piece of her slice.
"Thank you." Dizzy giggled and devoured the small piece of cake whilst Frederic just stared at them both in disbelief. He didn't realise how horrific the Isle was until that moment, of course he knew it was a little dirty in certain places but he never really noticed, and he hated himself for it.
He didn't say anything, he didn't want them to think he was pitying them or make them uncomfortable so he just turned slightly, staring at the ground for a while, "I actually have to get going, Jane wants me to help set up her party."
Freddie pushed himself up and both girls looked up at him, plates in hands and cake still smudged around their lips, causing him to chuckle slightly, "'Kay! See ya, Frederica." Dizzy nicknamed, placing her final chunk of cake into her mouth with a look of pure satisfaction.
Celia waved with a sweet smile on her face, and Freddie was on his way. There were a few weird things happening in his life, the first situation was the whole disagreement between Evie and Mal that he hadn't spoken to either of the girls about, but nobody could blame him, he had anxiety and he knew that if he even blurted out one word about either girl to one of them, a hurricane would appear.
The second was Celia being so kind to him, despite the fact that she didn't like most people, but he supposed it only just gave him all the more confidence. It was all bizarre, but to be honest, everything in his life was bizarre, he's a prince for christ's sake.
