NTANDOKAYISE

"Oh my goodness, you're so silly!" I laugh as Muzi lifts me up so that I won't have to walk the stairs. He finally puts me down, and I follow him to the dining room for breakfast before we leave for work.

"You're just so dramatic." Everyone stares at us as we walk in. It has been like this for the past two weeks.

"Let me pull the chair for you." He pulls the chair for me, and I sit down. He sits on the chair next to mine.

"Good morning, everyone." I grab a bowl and pour the porridge inside and add sugar as well. Only Musawenkosi and Owami greet me back while everyone is focused on eating. This table is so quiet.

"How was China, Wami?" She only came back yesterday with her grandfather, and her grandma stayed behind.

"It was great, ma'am. I got to spend time with Melamina." Her dad clears his throat and glares at her. Melamina? Is that Mina?

"Who's that?"

"She's my au—"

"Owami, can you eat your food and stop talking?" MK says.

"Sorry, dad." Poor Owami looks down and continues eating. I stare at Muzi, but he looks at his plate. I'm going to question him.

After eating, MK leaves with Musa and Owami while Mandlenkosi leaves alone, and I follow Muzi to his car, leaving senior Zikhali alone. I love getting free rides to work every day.

"Who is Melamina?" I ask on our way to work.

"She's my sister." He's willing to talk? I was just testing him.

"Why does she live in China and not here with you?"

"She is schooling there. You'll meet her one day." He increases the volume of the radio dismissing the conversation.

With Mr Mbhele dead, his position had to be filled, so Muzi's PA, who happened to be qualified for the job, applied and was hired because of been working here for a very long time. Muzi suggested that I work for him as his PA, and I agreed. So now I'm officially working with my fiancé and it had been bliss.

Muzi is the COO of this company, while MK is the CEO, taking after his father's position, and Mandlenkosi is in charge of the constructions. He's the one who handles everything and makes sure all the right materials are ordered. The three sons all studied civil engineering, and their father taught them how to run a business.

"Mr Zikhali, you said to remind you about the board meeting since you now have a new member." I was holding my tablet and reading Muzi's schedule for today.

"Fụck! I completely forgot. It's Lurther's wife, right?" I nod. Mr Mbhele made sure that if he ever disappeared or died, his wife was to be in charge of everything that belonged to him that included the 5% he owned of Zikhali Construction.

"Did you make plans already?" His schedule is clear here, but maybe he made personal plans.

"I wanted to take you out tonight." Well, we've been going out a lot lately, and I seem to like it.

"You take me out almost everyday, what's special about today?" I grab a chair and sit down after standing for so long.

"We are supposed to go to Joburg." Joburg? I didn't know of that.

"Really?" Being a Durban girl, I never really had the time to travel much, and even though I've been to Joburg a couple of times, I can't say I know the city.
