Chapter – 29 ANNA "This is a great opportunity for you."

It's the last week of the year. It's time to set new goals and make a new plan. I watched on YouTube that it's crucial to make a list of our goals and objectives and write them down on paper, like a letter. The purpose is to read it often, where our mind begins to internalize our desires. According to the Law of Attraction, if we align our thoughts with our goals, we will attract the desired reality into our lives.

I have just a few months left before I graduate from high school. Suddenly, it feels like life has sped up, and I must keep up with the pace. More changes have happened in the past few months than throughout the entire year.

I'm sitting at my computer desk with a blank sheet of paper in my hands. For a moment, I realize that I have nothing definite yet in my life. I think about my relationship with Nick, and my biggest fear is that history will repeat itself, where we will have to separate, just as Zack's move ended up separating us.

Nick expresses his desire to be accepted at the University of Miami to study engineering. Considering our previous conversations in which I mentioned my inclination towards marketing, he suggested that I also apply to UM, which would allow us to share an apartment in Miami. Living in Miami with Nick seems perfect for me.

If I choose Fashion, Design, and Fashion Marketing, I'll have to apply to another university. Still, we could share the same space, as UM (University of Miami) and MIU (Miami International University) are relatively close. Perhaps this goal could be one of my written wishes in my future letter.

As I searched for information about the two universities in Miami on the web, I noticed that my email inbox was full. There are over 8,000 unwanted emails that I need to clean up. As I look through this endless list, I find five exciting emails. They don't seem to be viruses, but I'm not going to click on any links to check them out. Instead, I decided to call the contact number because it was an invitation to an interview at a modeling agency in Miami. I managed to verify via Google that the agency exists and that the person named in the email does, too.

As soon as the operator answered the call, I asked to speak with Norris and provided my full name, mentioning that I had received an email to get in touch. Norris quickly took the call with excellent friendliness and invited me to visit their modeling agency in Miami. She expressed interest in talking to me about a job, a campaign for a client who is looking for fresh faces.

Suspicious, I asked Norris how she got my email address and why I would be chosen for a job like this, considering that I have no experience in the field. Norris replies practically and straightforwardly: "Anna Winner, everything can be found on the internet. My job is to look for talented people like you on social media. You're a charming, expressive, and captivating girl. It's no wonder you've already had over 5 million views in just ten days. It is a great opportunity for you. If you're approved, we're talking about five-figure sums to start with. Come to the agency so we can discuss it further. We'll cover the cost of your plane ticket and a companion."

I'm amazed and highly enthusiastic. I asked Norris to explain how these jobs work. I also mentioned that she would have to talk to my parents about this opportunity in detail. We agreed that I'll call her back tomorrow. Norris says she looks forward to hearing from me.

Of the five emails I identified on my list of 8,000, I noticed that three of them were from different places, while the other two were just forwards. I checked the other two emails, followed the same procedure, and contacted them by phone. To my pleasant surprise, both were job offers, with one of them being right here in Orlando. I started to see the positive side of this mess and concluded that I should take advantage of these opportunities instead of hiding in shame.
