-Laeilwyn's Perspective-
I rolled over and felt my hand rest on Brynjolf's chest. I blinked my eyes open and saw him, resting peacefully, with a smile on his face. I pecked him gently on the cheek before quietly getting out of bed. The fire had gone out and light was streaming in the window. I opened the window just a crack. The loud bustle of the city had not yet begun, indicating it was still early. I collected my discarded robe and put it on before I heard a soft knock at the door. I grabbed the key off the table and opened it, greeting Susanna with another cart.
"Please don't tell me this is more food." I whispered.
She chuckled. "Good morning, Miss Riverpool. Simply breakfast, fruit and sweet rolls. Can I fill your washbasin with warm water?"
"Please! Thank you. What do I owe you for the breakfast?" I asked, rummaging through my satchel.
"Nothing, Miss, it's all taken care of." The steam from the hot water swirled up in the air from the washbasin as she filled it. "Also, this letter came for you by courier this morning." She handed it for me and bid me good day, closing the door behind her.
I looked down at the letter in my hands. It was sealed black wax bearing the Thieves Guild emblem. I broke the wax and began to read.
Riverpool,
I've managed to figure out where Karliah is hiding. A ruin called Snow Veil Sanctum; the place where Gallus was murdered. I need you back in Riften right now. We leave as soon as you get back. Don't delay.
-M. Frey.
"It's a good thing we're leaving today then, isn't it!" Brynjolf said, appearing over my shoulder. He wore a green set of fine robes and a huge smile.
I jumped, startled. "Brynjolf! I thought you were still sleeping."
"I was. But seeing your face is so much better than dreaming." He kissed me on the cheek and grabbed a sweet roll off the cart.
I blushed a little bit. "Relight the fire you pile of scrib jelly."
"Not you too?!" He groaned in disbelief.
"I'm kidding. It's become a term of affection now!" I blew him a kiss sarcastically before going over to the washbasin. The water had cooled a little bit, so I was able to submerge my face. I came up for air, feeling refreshed. Suddenly, I felt a pair of hands on my hips.
"You know, you look a lot better with that robe off..." Brynjolf whispered in my ear.
I spun around to face him. "And you look a lot better without these... what even are these? Are you going for breakfast with the Jarl?" I teased.
"They were in the bedside table drawer! There's nothing else for me to wear..." He looked down sheepishly.
"What happened to your pants?" I asked.
"I couldn't find them! They got lost last night during our... activities..." He winked, rubbing his hands up and down my back. "Want to help me lose these horrible robes too?"
I bit my lip and played with the buttons on the robes. "We should get going, don't want to keep Sigaar waiting do we?"
"Elle, we have plenty of time. We're not meeting him until 10 o'clock. The city isn't even awake yet." He argued, gently tipping my chin up to meet his gaze. I looked out the window. I still couldn't hear any voices, except those of the guards that patrolled the streets. Oh, what the hell? I reached up and brought our lips together. My arms wrapped around his neck and reached up to run my fingers through his hair. I began undoing the buttons on Brynjolf's hideous robes as quickly as I could, while Brynjolf nearly ripped my robes open trying to figure out the string.
