ROSALIE.
—————————
"...."

I looked around myself, the hallways were empty, the nightshifts were always like this at the medical wing. I held the box tightly in my hand, sneaking my way into the private toilets for personell. Giselle and Paige were already there, waiting for me with bright expressions.

"Rosalie! Took you long enough!" Giselle exclaimed, pulling me by the arm and locking the door quickly.

We were on our breaks, I had just finished changing the IV to one of the soldiers and I was completely free. Anxiety was slowly bubbling up, there was no way in Earth I had the balls to do this. "Did you steal it?" Paige asked right after, sticking her hands into the pockets of her white jacket.

"Yes— Yes! Okay.. but can you turn around while I pee?" I panicked, taking out the two boxes to open them.

Oh my God, I'm gonna lose my shit.

"You're so dramatic, Rose." They both giggled before they gave me my privacy, turning their backs to me with whispers.

With hesitation, I glanced at the two pregnancy sticks, taking off the caps and following the procedures for the test.

After I was done, I cleaned myself and turned the sticks upside down, covering them with the previous boxes. "No, why are you hiding them?!" Paige exclaimed, hands on my shoulders to exasperate.

They weren't helping at all.

"Yeah? I wanna see both of you living my life right now! Simon's literally gonna kill me!" I let out a frustrated sigh, before slumping down on the cold tiles of the bathroom. Still in my uniform, I stared at my feet, contemplating my life.

Was it too early? Were we even going to manage all this?

Paige and Giselle looked at me, their gazes softening before they both crouched down, offering me their support. "Hey, you're still going to be that sexy doctor around the medical wing."

"I'm literally the lieutenant's wife, shut up. You know everyone's gonna be dead if they'll ever lay an eye on me." I responded with a roll of eyes, a small smile sneaking its way to my lips.

Simon was protective—way too protective. But I loved it.

"Can we check the results for you?"

I heaved out the hundredth sigh and nodded my head, before burying my face into my hands, desperately. I could hear them shuffle around, moving the boxes and throwing them in the trash.

Then two audible gasps echoed in the small toilet.

Holy shit. They weren't serious, right?
