 **Hospital Arrival**

When the paramedics finally arrived, their entry was a whirlwind of urgency and professionalism. You stepped back as they rushed into the mansion, each paramedic taking stock of the chaotic scene. The lead paramedic quickly knelt beside Felix, assessing his condition with a practiced eye. You felt a mixture of relief and apprehension, your heart still racing in your chest.

**Paramedic:** "What happened here?"

**You:** "I found him like this! He... he was unconscious, and there was so much blood. Please help him!" Your voice quivered, the fear you had been holding back spilling over.

The paramedic nodded, focusing intently on Felix as he checked for a pulse. The seconds felt like hours as you watched the paramedics spring into action. They spoke to each other in urgent tones, their movements swift and efficient.

**Lead Paramedic:** "We need to get him stabilized. Can you assist with the IV?"

You watched in awe as the team worked, adrenaline pumping through your veins. You felt helpless standing to the side, but every second seemed critical.

One of the paramedics looked up at you, their expression softening.

**Paramedic 2:** "You did well by calling us. Now let's focus on helping him."

You nodded, trying to breathe through the rising panic in your chest. The lead paramedic began to apply pressure to the wound on Felix's wrist while another paramedic prepped the stretcher.

**You:** "Is he going to be okay?"

**Lead Paramedic:** "We're doing everything we can. We just need to get him to the hospital quickly."

As they worked, you felt a surge of gratitude mixed with fear. You couldn't shake the image of Felix lying there, so vulnerable. Each moment that passed felt like an eternity, the weight of the situation pressing down on you.

Finally, they secured Felix onto the stretcher, lifting him carefully. You stepped aside, heart in your throat, watching as they wheeled him toward the door.

**Lead Paramedic:** "Stay close. We'll take good care of him."

You followed them out, the cool air hitting your face as you stepped outside. The ambulance's sirens wailed in the distance, a sound that filled you with both dread and hope. You climbed into the ambulance, not wanting to leave Felix's side for even a moment.

Once inside, the paramedics began their work in earnest. One was placing electrodes on Felix's chest, while another started an IV line, working methodically as the ambulance swayed slightly with the movement. You sat next to Felix, your hand gripping his tightly.

**You:** "Felix, can you hear me? I'm right here," you whispered, your voice trembling. You needed him to know he wasn't alone.

His eyes remained closed, but you could see the tension in his face. The paramedics continued their work, speaking to each other in focused tones as they monitored his vitals.

**Paramedic 2:** "We're losing time. Let's get to the hospital. Sirens on!"

The ambulance surged forward, the wail of the siren filling the air, a cacophony that seemed to blur the edges of your panic. You felt the rush of the city outside—the buildings flashing by in a blur, people stopping to look as the ambulance sped past.

**You:** "Stay with me, Felix. Please," you whispered, squeezing his hand. "You're going to be okay. Just hold on."

The lead paramedic glanced back at you, a reassuring smile breaking through the tension.

**Lead Paramedic:** "You're doing great. Just keep talking to him. He can hear you."

Your heart ached at the thought. You continued to talk to Felix, sharing memories, the little things that made him smile, anything to keep his spirit alive.

**You:** "Remember when we went to that coffee shop and you tried to order something fancy? You didn't even know what a macchiato was!"

The paramedics exchanged glances, seemingly moved by your determination.

**Paramedic 2:** "That's it. Keep it up."

As the ambulance continued its rapid journey, you focused on Felix's face, willing him to respond. You couldn't help but feel a flicker of hope as you felt his hand squeeze yours ever so slightly.

**You:** "I'm right here, Felix. Just keep fighting. We'll get through this together."

Finally, the ambulance pulled up to the hospital, the flashing lights illuminating the entrance.

**Lead Paramedic:** "Alright, we're here! Everyone out!"

The doors swung open, and the team carefully maneuvered Felix on the stretcher. You hurriedly followed, feeling the urgency of the moment wash over you.

The hospital staff was waiting, ready to receive Felix. The paramedics quickly relayed the details of his condition, and you stood back as the medical team took over, wheeling Felix into the emergency room.

**You:** "Can I go with him?" you asked, desperation creeping into your voice.

One of the nurses turned to you, her expression kind yet firm.

**Nurse:** "I'm sorry, but we need to get him stabilized first. We'll let you know as soon as we can."

With that, the doors swung shut, separating you from Felix. The wait felt agonizing, each second ticking by like an eternity. You leaned against the wall, trying to steady your breathing, the reality of what just happened crashing down on you.
