Elsa and Aurelia jolted from their seats as the clock turned to one o-clock in the morning. They sighed, Elsa rubbing her temple on her forehead.
"Jesus!" Elsa murmured, as she swallowed. She felt a cold presence lingering around in the room, knowing they were not the only ones in the library. "Y-y-you know, sweetie. I think you're right, we're not alone," she paused, grabbing Aurelia's hand gently while standing up.
"Momma, what's wrong?" Aurelia asked, standing close by to her. "Just... something's not right," Elsa replied, pulling her close towards her. Aurelia's fascination and excitement, quickly turned into fear and overwhelm.
"What's happening? Why is it so cold?" Aurelia asked, her tiny body shivering and hands clinging onto her mother, like a small child, even though she was only seventeen.
A ghostly figure came out from the book, Elsa's eyes widened, so did Aurelia's. Swirling dust of snowflakes, and a figure of a ghost boy looked at them. Elsa stood up quickly from her seat, a pang beat in her chests.
"W-who is that?" Aurelia stuttered, as she gently pointed her finger at the finger. "Not sure sweetie," Elsa said. The figure was looking directly at Elsa, like it noticed her, or knew her.
Aurelia tilted her head, "why is he only looking at you, mom?" She asked, Elsa shrugged, only to be in disbelief about what she was seeing. Her eyes softened, a soft, light twinkling snowflake, as Elsa looked more closely towards him.
He finally spoke. "You have what cannot be undone until midnight strikes again. I cannot drell to move on from this house," he finally says.
Elsa's eyes widened open as he looked at him. "Huh," she was confused. "Elebrate that please." The ghost chuckled softly as he pulled himself out of the book.
"Sorry, it's been a long time since I've been out of the book. My name is Jack, Jack Frost, and you," he asked, in a ghostly tone.
Elsa's eyes widened more as he came out of the book. "E-Elsa," she stuttered. "And this young, woman?" Jack asked, looking at the shy, young girl behind Elsa.
A small smile crept across Elsa's face, and chuckled, "Oh, this is my daughter, Aurelia Snow," she replied, scooting her in front of her. Aurelia smiled softly.
"Hello..." Aurelia says, as she looks at him, clenching onto her mother's clothes.
"Ah, a frightened daughter. Don't be, I'm harmless. The one you should be afraid of is....Pitch. Pitch Black. The Nightmare King." Jack says, his ghostly voice echoed as he pointed his finger towards the girl, with a slight chuckle.
Aurelia's eyes widen, "W-who's that?" Jack smiled at her words, Elsa chuckled. "Someone you don't want to face," Elsa says.
"Y-you've met him before?" Aurelia asked, looking at her mother. Elsa nodded, "Yes, I have. It was a long time ago-" Jack interrupted her, "indeed it was."
