"Bye Grace" I say and I can feel the smile on my face for the first time in a long time. She looks so much better. They cleaned up her face and she still has a few bruises but she's ok. "You're gonna text me everyday right?" she asks as we hug goodbye. "Ya" "Good, have fun" she says winking towards Kevin. I roll my eyes and step away. "I'll miss you" "I'll come visit" "Ok, you know where I am" "I do. Now go before I start crying again" she states shoving me and Kevin out the door.
I get in his car and we drive in silence before he asks what I want for lunch. "Nothing I'm good" "Samantha" "Kevin" "You never eat?" I look down and spin my phone in my hand. "No, they say I'm fat" "You're extremely underweight" "Good, better then fat." He sighs beside me and pulls into a Taco Bell. For the past week he has been slowly easing questions and statements that get me to tell my story. At first it scared me but...he's growing on me. He really seems to care and he'll do anything for me.
•Kevin POV•
We finally get back home and Samantha heads upstairs to unpack. I find Jake and Maggie and take a seat. "How was it?" Maggie asks. "Terrible but it got better" Jake sits up and I continue knowing it's what he's waiting for. "The first day she cut and fought for the blade when I took it but after I got her calmed down we went to bed and the whole week was spent with Grace who is like super cool have you guys met her? Ya not the point ok but Samantha didn't do anything else other then not eating until today and even then I had to like force feed her." Jake groans and Maggie lays back on the sofa. "I know most of her story..." "Oh wow" Jake starts "She actually told you?" "Ya I mean not everything, everyday is something new, but I got most of it and the rest is just putting together the puzzle" I stop when I hear her on the stairs and she comes into view.
"Hey Sam!" Maggie says sitting up and turning to her. "Hey guys!" she comes over and walks past them, sitting inbetween my legs. Jake's jaw drops and Maggie's eyes widen. "Jake close your mouth you're gonna catch flies" she giggles and Maggie and Jake look like they've just been told...well I don't know something huge and life-changing. "I have to go pick up Sammy" I say standing up. I go to leave and Samantha pulls me down, kissing my cheek, then letting me go. I love that girl so much.
