Adventure Bay was waking up, Paw Patrol full of energy and readiness was preparing for another adventure-filled day. It was just another day at work with the team, but deep down, Chase was hoping for something more. He felt particularly happy to be working alongside Skye. She was always full of life, cheerful, and brave. Their friendship meant a lot to him but over time... something changed
The first and the last mission of the day was a rescue on the beach. A high wave had knocked a kayaker into the rocks. Skye and Zuma helped the man to get to safety. Marshall checked the man with his med kit.
He was fine, mission successfully done.
Meanwhile Chase watched intently as Skye skillfully maneuvered her helicopter over the water. In moments like this, he noticed her extraordinary courage and professionalism, and her smile, even in the middle of action, made his heart race. He did everything he could to focus on mission, but his attention kept drifting back to Skye.
After the mission was complete, Skye ran quickly to him, full of energy as always. Chase found bravery to give her a compliment.
"Great job Skye! You're really amazing in your helicopter" he said, hoping she would notice something more in his gaze.
"Thanks Chase! We all did a great job" she replied with a smile, turning his compliment back towards the whole team. It was a nice. But friendly thank you left Chase with a slight feeling of disappointment.
As time passed, he began to realize that perhaps he was the only one feeling something more he was too stubborn to stop trying. The daily missions and shared moments only reinforced his belief that Skye was special.
