When Tiek had finally felt ready to tell Thorn everything he had explained through Kiet's lips how he had been born in Thailand on a farm in the Kanchanaburi Province formerly known as Haripuñjaya and when his parents had offered shelter to a Burmese monk who was on a pilgrimage he had left home with the monk who had promised his parents that he could offer their boy a better life.

They had travelled back to Burma to a monastery in the mountains of NimKan Taung where he had started his training to become a weizza and when the monastery had been visited by King Theinkho and his Queen Consort several years later the Queen had taken a liking to the shy fifteen year old boy and they had taken him back to the central palace in Mandalay.

Tiek had become an apprentice to the Queens weizza until the old man had passed away a few years later and by that time, Tiek had fallen in love with a young girl who came from the wolf's village every day to work.

He told Thorn everything and then explained to Thinnakorn how he had made the necklace, he confirmed that the stones were spinel but the centre stone had been created using magic and it was indeed a talisman as Korn had suspected.

Thinnakorn eventually got to analyse the piece and scientifically confirm it's age, not that he didn't believe Tiek but he wanted to give Thorn the necessary paperwork as evidence of the piece's authenticity.

"what time is your flight dad?" Thorn asked as his dad came into the office.

"3.15 pm, I'll have to set off after lunch" his dad replied.

"are you sure you want to go alone, I can't go but I know Korn would be only too happy to accompany you, to be honest I think he'd love to?" Thorn said to him.

"I'll take him next time son, I feel like I need to be alone on this trip"

"it's going to be weird you not being here" Thorn said.

"it will be for me too but I need to get away son, I haven't had a vacation in ... ever" his dad laughed.

"have you checked everything, get Merrick to double check your flight and check that you have your passport and make sure you take enough money and call me if anything goes wrong"

"yes dad" Kiet laughed again.

"and Tiek, no magic yeah, I don't want to have to come over there and bail my dad out of the prison or anything" Thorn said.

"yes master Thorn" Tiek spoke through his dad's lips.

"and stop calling me fucking master" Thorn said.

"and stop swearing son, you know I don't like it"

"sorry dad" Thorn replied.

"it would have been a lot easier and cheaper for me to transport" Tiek sulked.

"we use passports these days Tiek and how is my dad going to explain how he got there if anything happens?"

Suddenly Thorn's cell phone rang, it was Korn calling from his new office on the perimeter of the Dragon Moon territory.

"hey baby, how are you?" Thorn asked him.

"you only saw me this morning Thorn, I'm still the same as I was at breakfast" Korn replied.

"am I not allowed to worry about my Luna?" Thorn said.

"sure you are, I just thought I'd call to say hi and to ask you to tell your dad that I hope he has a pleasant trip and to keep in touch" Korn said.
