"Move out of my face"

"No you're just so cute"

"Come on I'm tryna sleep"

"Fine" Ki pouted as she turned the opposite direction. Not long after she felt herself being pulled into his warmth.

"Happy now?" Chris said still with his eyes closed.

"Just a bit"

"You can't sleep or something?" He asked.

"No im nervous"

"Of?" He asked opening his eyes giving her his full attention.

"This episode. Are we really going to talk about how we really met or are we going to fake it?"

"It's whatever you want to do" he yawns.

"I just don't want people to look at me weird"

"They will do that anyway. Good or bad they will find something. We can embellish"

"No let's just tell the truth"

"You sure you want to tell them all the details?"

"Well of course not but we could tell some"

"Ok" he said going back to sleep.

"You still sleepy?" She asked him.

"Bruh it's 2am. I spent the whole day trying to get a house full of sick kids to sleep and eat. Of course im sleepy"

"Hard working mother doing the best for her kids" she giggled.

"Stop playing with me" he sneezed.

"Aww pooh you might've caught the kids cold"

"Nah I'm good" he sneezed again.

Sure enough later in the morning Chris couldn't get up. Ki took over and took care of the whole house who were now sick. All 6 kids plus Chris.

She moves from room to room, checking on all six kids and her boyfriend all bundled up and resting. The house is quiet except for the soft snores and coughs, and she can feel the weight of her responsibilities, but her love for each of them keeps her going.

"Come lay with me" Chris whined.

"No you will not get me sick" she said through her mask.

"You won't get sick."

"Chris no. I'll be no good to any of you if I'm sick too." She moved around the room picking up snotty tissues and empty cups.

Everyone was in one room now making it easy for her to keep an eye on everyone.

"Yuck" ki said as she stepped on a wet tissue. "I'll be back"

The whole morning she had been overwhelmed with the task of caring for everyone. Not that she didn't love being a mother but today for wherever reason it just felt hard. She needed some alone time. She got in the car and drove to the pharmacy to get some supplies for the family.

After getting what she needed she browsed around looking for random items and found exactly what she was looking for. She checked out and made it back to the house.

She was now in the kitchen preparing soup and tea, adding a pinch of extra care to each bowl. Balancing the tray with cups and tissues, she handed everyone their bowls while whispering words of comfort, holding hands, and placing cool cloths on foreheads.
