On Goob's first day in a new highschool, he meets a grumpy shrimp. Day after day, the two opposites eventually become closer and closer.

I woke up by myself without my alarm this morning. I guess I slept really well yesterday! I got ready and went downstairs. Surprisingly, Scraps wasn't down here yet. Suddenly, I got a text message from someone. I was a bit disappointed that it didn't say Shrimpo's name, but it was from my mom! She said they're coming back from their business trip today! But... they would probably want me and Scraps to come home immediately, since they expect us to celebrate coming home after a few months. I guess I won't be able to talk to Shrimpo after school. I open my text messages to text Shrimpo. He's active right now, he should answer. To make it sound like I know how to type good I use the microphone.
Goob: Sorry I cannot meet up with you after school today. Maybe we can talk later? 7:15am
Shrimpo: oh ok then that's fine. i was gonna tell you i needed more time to plan my thoughts anyway. 7:16am
Goob: Ok 7:16am
Plan his thoughts? Seems like he's thinking this out a lot. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs, and I see Scraps with her enthusiastic smile. "Good morning Goob! Seems like you got up early today." "Yea, I woke up energized today!" I return her happy tone. "Mom and dad are coming home today!" Scraps sang as she sat next to me. "Who are you texting?" She asked. "Shrimpo. We were supposed to meet up after school, but we decided we can do it later." I answered. "Is he confessing to you?!" Scraps gasped and laughed crazily. "I think so. I hope!" I say determinedly. "Let's get going to the bus stop." Scraps reminded. "Oh right! Let's go then." I say as I walk out the door.
- Shrimpo's POV -
I nervously sit down on the bus stop bench. If I see Goob walk over here I'll actually die. I HATE BEING NERVOUS! I shouldn't even have asked him to talk, he probably will say no. No no no no no no no— "Hello Shrimpo!" A familiar voice calls out to me. I jump and turn my head to see Goob. Gosh darn it. "You can't talk about it right now?" Goob asked as he sat next to me. "... No, I'll tell you when the time is right." I replied. "Hmm, ok!" Goob says as he looks ahead and waits for the bus. The bus eventually arrives and Goob sits next to me. He talked and talked about his usual stuff, like crafts and random subjects, but I just couldn't focus. I had my mind focused on one thing.
- Time skip to an hour after school - - Narrators POV -
Shrimpo laid on his bed and scrolled online for a few minutes. He thinks he has got all his thoughts together, and he's ready to tell Goob how he feels. As if on queue, Goob texted him. Shrimpo immediately clicked it and it read, 'Can you meet me where we first met?' Huh, where they first met? The first time Shrimpo met Goob, he absolutely hated his guts. How did it lead to him liking, even loving Goob? Shrimpo shook his head and ran out of his front door. "IM GONNA SEE MY FRIEND!!" Shrimpo called out to his mom. He ran and ran and ran, he just wanted to see him. He knows the exact spot they met. Shrimpo didn't lift up his head until he reached the bus stop, where Goob was patiently waiting.
Shrimpo panted and caught his breath, looking into Goob's eyes. The sun was setting, making his face look even more pretty than it is if that's even possible. "So you do remember where we first met." Goob said, smiling warmly. "I've been thinking about this for a while, so listen ok?" Shrimpo said in a demand like way. He took a deep breath and began.
"I've used to always hate everyone. Everything annoyed me and irritated me. I just hated everything in my life. And at one point, I've actually hated you. But after I gave you a chance, my world changed. I didn't notice at first, but I started to not yell at people and not hate things as much. I even started to hang out with people I would hate. My world started to feel worth living again. And it was all your doing. I think I've finally realized that.. Goob, I... I- I LIKE YOU!"
Goob was stunned, Shrimpo has never ever said anything like this. "I.. I love you too!" Goob said with a huge smile. Shrimpo felt a pang in his chest, and he let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding. Time seemed to stop for a moment. No way he actually said yes?! Shrimpo then noticed Goob tearing up! "Woah— why are you crying?!" Shrimpo worriedly asked. If anything, he should be the one crying from Goob saying he likes him back. Goob wiped his eyes and smiled at Shrimpo.
"I'm just so glad you feel the same way.. When I first met you, I thought you looked mean and didn't like to socialize, but I wanted to fix that. I like making people feel like they are cared for, so I wanted to make you realize how nice the world is. I appreciate how you were nice to me, it made me really happy. I just couldn't get you out of my head. Shrimpo, I really really really love you!!"
Goob exclaimed as he tightly hugged Shrimpo, gently swaying him left to right. Shrimpo actually hugged back this time for once, his head resting on the fluffy part of Goob's chest. 'Hehe.. cute.' Goob thought to himself with a smile.
Suddenly they heard a camera click.
"SCRAPS?!" Goob screamed as he frantically looked around. "Brightney!! I told you to turn on silent mode!" Scraps whispered. They both stood up from behind the bush, "Heheh, you caught us." Scraps says. Then, Tisha stood up from behind the bush too. "I was forced to come with them!" Tisha blurted out, "These two are lost in the sauce." They all laughed except Shrimpo. "You better give me those 100 ichor, you promised Tisha! Just give me my money!" Scraps reminded. "What are you talking about?! I— I'll give it later." Tisha sighed. Goob then gently placed his hand on Shrimpo's head. "So, we're together now?" Goob asked, eagerly waiting for his answer. "... yes." Shrimpo answered as he looked away. Goob screeched so loud out of happiness, jumping up and down while hugging him.
"You're all I could ask for, you're my whole world!"
"You can't just say that.." Shrimpo mumbled, flustered. "Hmm, say it back to me." Goob joked in a demand like way. "Y.. You're all that I could ask for, you're my whole world." Shrimpo said, looking up at Goob. "That's good enough." Goob said satisfied. They then stared at each other for a minute. They tried to kiss but just bonked heads, so Goob kissed Shrimpo on his cheek instead. Shrimpo looked so red like a tomato, it made Goob laugh. He gently smiled at Shrimpo while hugging him.
"I love you."

I CRINGED MYSELF OUT 😭 Cringe overload 👺 1187 words. I think this will be the last chapter 😢 but I'll maybe add extra short ones if I have motivation, like everyone's reaction and stuff and ya. Also, this was my first ever story I've written so that explains why I don't know how to plan them 😬 Anyway thank you so much for 2k reads that is so much more than I was expecting 🤩🥳 And top 10 on #highschoolau 😦 wow omg!!
