Finally!! As the last bell rang i grabbed my stuff and ran away from the stupid high school. Okay y/n only one day left. Exams are over. I've always been at the top of my class along with Light Yagami. He is very attractive but I just don't really like him. The girls are always all over him though.

I unlocked the door to my apartment and threw my stuff on the ground and sat on the couch eating some sour patch kids. I freaking love sour things. Crap!!! I freaking forgot! Today's my birthday. I ran and grabbed my keys and ran to my parents house. I promised them I would come over. My dad works with the Task Force and my mom used to, but she was on of the agents killed by Kiria recently. I'm still not over it. Crap I'm crying. BAM. I ran right into someone knocking me to the ground. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" The stranger said. I looked up and it was no stranger. Light. "Oh its fine." I said. He helped me up. "Hi I'm Light Yagami." He said. "y/n" I said. "Well see ya around!" He said rather cheerfully. I picked up my pace and got to my dads and opened the door. "Dad!?" I yelled and then heard foot steps. "y/n!!! Happy birthday!!! Wow finally 18!" He said while hugging me. I smiled back at him. "So y/n I have a favor to ask you." He said while pouring some tea for us. "What is it?" I asked. "Well tomorrow is your first day of college and the Task Force wants you to spy on one student for us." He said. "REALLY?!?" I asked getting very excited. "Yes really!!" He said, but with another person also." he said. I ran up to him and hugged him. "Thank you dad!!" I've always wanted to do detective work, and finally. My chance!! "And dad, what student and why?" I asked. "Light Yagami. We think he's Kiria." He told me. "Really?" "Yes."
Wow wasn't expecting that. "Who am I working with?" I asked. "He will meet you at the gates." He said. "Yay. I'm really excited dad!"
"Oh!! Y/n!!" He said. "Yes?"
"Your present!!" He handed me a box wrapped with wrapping paper that had cat prints on it. I pulled out a beautiful blue skater dress with a pair of black heels. "Dad. It's beautiful!!" I said hugging him. "Your mother and I picked it out before she passed away." He said. I hugged him once more. "Love you dad. But I've got to go." I said. "By y/n!!"
Next Day*****
I had my alarm set for 8:00 and my classes started at 10:00. So I hopped out of bed and got in the shower singing some songs the got out to dry my hair. After that I just straightened it and let it down. I got dressed and got out my makeup and did my stuff and headed down stairs. I got some cereal and made a bowl and ate it.
9:30. Okay I should go.
I grabbed my keys leaving the house and arrived at the gates at 9:45 to see a skinny guy with raven black hair, panda eyes, a white shirt and jeans with converse. I think that's him. He's kinda cute. Shut up y/n!!! I went up to him and said "are you the one I'm supposed to meet?" He nodded his head and looked at me. "I'm Ryuzaki." He said. "Y/n" we shook hands. And started walking to our first class. Once we got there he sat quite strange. "I will have to talk to you in private after today so we can work things out. Alright?" He said. "Um okay." I said and the lesson went on and on and on. Until we got a pre test. I finished mine in under 5 minutes and so did Ryuzaki and Light. The rest of the class was still going. The bell rang and he put the top three up.

"Wha-how?!?" I heard a voice say. Light he must be pissed off. I grabbed Ryuzakis hand and saw him blushing. We walked outside and I asked him "do you want to come to my apartment to talk about him?" I asked. "Sure." So we started walking until we got there.
I unlocked my door and let us in. "You can sit down. Do you want anything?" I asked. "No. I'm fine" he said sitting in that same position. I sat across from him. "So, y/n, what percent do you think Light is Kiria?" He asked
"Well I'm at about 6%.. Only because I don't know his schedule. But he also was at the top of his class. And Kiria needs to be smart. And if the killings are at anytime before 10:00 then that could be a time for him to do his killings. So maybe I'm at 7% now." I said. "Brilliant y/n." He said. I blushed a deep red and said "thanks"
"Oh and y/n?"
"Yes?"
"I wanted to tell you that I'm L"
"Really?"
"Yes"
"I kind of thought so"
"Well I want you in the case."
"Really?!?!?!?"
"Yes"
I looked at him and smiled I jumped at him and hugged him.
"Thank you sooooo much!!!"
He hugged me back. I let go and we were face to face. I quickly looked away. Blushing. "Y/n?" "Yes?" "That can't be your name anymore, now it's Naomi Kigela." He said. "Okay great!!" He stood up. "Well I better be going now." I walked him to the door to see that it was pouring outside. "Um L you can stay here." I said. he smiled at me. "Thanks, I just need to make a phone call." He called someone to let them know that he was with me. "I always pack extra cloths just incase" he said. "Okay well I'm going to shower and you can help yourself to anything in the kitchen." I said "Oh and your room is right by mine you'll see the difference." "Okay"
After Shower***
I got out and wrapped a towel around myself and walked out of the bathroom and ran right into L. I blushed and he said "sorry!" Nervously and walked away. I went into my room and got my pajamas on and walked out. "Ryu do you want some cake?" I asked. "CAKE?" And then he bursted into the kitchen and went into my special pantry and pulled out a strawberry cake. And handed a slice to him. He sat down at the breakfast bar and started eating. "Dis is eally ode" he said with a mouth full. "Ha glad you like it."
After and hour of playing on the Wii we went to bed we said our goodnight and I closed my door.
