It was the day L was leaving. He was about 14, and now he's one of the best detectives in the world.
All I am is someone who could successfully succeed L one day.
It's pretty much just me, Mello, and Near. All they do is argue.
I asked Watari if I could still be adopted. He said yes. I would miss this place, but I need the real world. I'll never be as great as L.
I asume Near will be his 'perfect'
successor.
Watari called me into his office.
"Miss y/n, someone wants to adopt you, but are you sure you want to do this?"
"Yes, I'm ready"
And at that I went to my room and got my cloths in a bag. That's pretty much all I had. Then Watari gave me a pill of some sort. Well, I saw him put it in my drink, knowing he wouldn't want to kill me, I drank it.
All I remembered was that I was a normal orphan. "Y/n, you'll remember one day"
I then fell asleep.
I woke up in a room with my bag.
I stayed quiet. I can't remember anything. Then two young people walked in, maybe in their 20's. A man and his wife.
"Hello, I'm Mogi and this is Katarna, we're adopting you" the man said sweetly.
I smiled and hugged the two.
They are so nice.
They took me home and let me grow like a normal teenager. Except I couldn't remember anything past ten years old. I got an apartment when I turned 17, only for college, then it happened, the killings, heart attacks everywhere, even my mother who works as an FBI agent. Then when I turned 18 father let me investigate with someone, someone who changed my life.
I woke up with a gasp.
"I-I remember"
L then looked at me.
The time was 5:00, time to get up anyways.
"Come with me"
He then grabbed my hand, pulling me out of bed. We got into the living room and saw Watari on his laptop. With my cat sitting by him.
"Watari, she remembers"
He looked up with shock.
"You don't mean to tell me that was all real"
Watari then sat me down with L and he told me everything.
It was real?!
"It's not funny to joke around like this" I said.
"Y/n were not kidding"
I was shocked and upset they used my real name.
"W-What? How?" I asked
"Well that pill erased your memory. So you wouldn't tell anyone" Watari said
"Why would I tell anyone?" I asked getting upset.
"It's not that, I had to" He said.
I looked around, checking if Light was awake.
I smiled
"Well thank you for telling me that" I said.
I walked to my room and sat down, looking at my hands.
"Are you okay?" I heard a voice ask.
"Fine" I muttered.
I felt L wrap his arms around me. "I'm sorry"
"How's Mello, Matt, and Near?"
I asked
"Just fine, do you want to see them?"
"More than anything"
He smiled at me. "Well then, I'll talk to Watari" and at that he got up and went to talk to him. I closed the door and went into the bathroom to get a shower. I got out and did my makeup and hair. I went into my room and put on a pair of skinny jeans and another white button up, and just some socks.
I walked out to see Light and L at their computers. "Miss Naomi, will you please come with me?" Watari asked. "Oh, yes"
I walked with him to the kitchen.
He handed me a passport and said, "Okay your flight will be in about two hours." He said
I nodded and left the room.
I went up to L.
"Are you going?" I asked.
"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I cant"
"W-Why?"
"If Kiria decides to make a major move, at least I'll be here"
He looked at me.
I leaned in to kiss him.
It was a light kiss but that's okay.
He loves me.
Right?
Does L even love?
I snapped myself out of my thoughts.
I went into my room only grabbing a few things.
And before I knew it, it was time to leave.
I walked in the work room and asked.
"Do you at least want to go to the airport with me?"
L nodded
"Light you can come too"
And at that we all got in the car and Watari drove.
The ride was silent.
We pulled up to the airport and we all got out.
There was nobody to be seen. I guess this is a private airport.
We walked in and walked to where I was leaving.
"Are you ready?" Watari asked
I looked at L and leaned in to kiss him.
He didn't kiss back.
I looked at him with hurt eyes.
He just looked blank.
I turned to Light and gave him a hug. He hugged me really tightly.
When looked to my side, L was already gone.
Light looked at me and kissed me. I didn't resist this time.
I just looked down
"Bye" I said quietly.
He then left. I looked around.
Nobody was there. Watari has been waiting on me.
I got on the jet and sat down.
"Ah, y/n! I got you this, and you forgot something" Watari said
He handed me a box of Legos. This time it's the Hobbit. And he also gave me my cat. Yes I said cat. Princess Monster Truck is now a cat, not a kitten.
I still felt Lights kiss.
It was nice.
No! Snap out of it y/n.
