THIRD PERSON'S POV:-

As time passed, Nirvaan continued to reach out to Kanika, hoping to bridge the silence between them. But despite the quiet yearning in her heart, Kanika couldn't bring herself to respond. The weight of everything she had endured still held her captive, her past experiences casting long shadows over her present. She wanted to talk to him, to ease the distance between them, but the memories she couldn't shake, the pain that lingered too deeply, made it hard to take that step. Even though her heart ached to connect, fear and unresolved hurt kept her words locked away.

For Kanika's birthday, Nirvaan wanted to give her something meaningful. Remembering the small gesture she had made toward him, when she had gifted him a chocolate on her own special day, he decided to return the favor. He had Manav deliver a keychain with the letter "K" to Kanika, hoping it would be a simple yet thoughtful gift. But when the time came, Kanika didn't take it. She didn't respond the way he had hoped. The unspoken distance between them remained, as thick as ever.

Rather than letting the gesture go to waste, Nirvaan clipped the "K" keychain onto his own bag, placing it next to the one he already had-a keychain with the letter "N." Now, every time he looked at his bag, he saw the initials side by side: "K" and "N." It felt bittersweet, a quiet reminder of the gap between them, but also of the connection he still held onto, even if she couldn't yet reach back.

As time passed, the Diwali season arrived, Nirvaan didn't give up. He reached out to his friends, hoping they could help him bridge the gap. He talked to Taraksha, someone who had always been close to Kanika, and also to Ruhii, Rahul's girlfriend, who knew Kanika because they are classmates. Both of them had seen how much Nirvaan was trying, and although they couldn't promise anything, they agreed to help. Perhaps if they could get through to her in a way he hadn't been able to, Kanika might open up.

Kanika's class of eight girls was tasked with the Rangoli competition. They formed a WhatsApp group to brainstorm ideas, and Kanika suggested a meaningful theme: organ donation. The idea resonated with everyone, and they decided to go with it.

Taraksha, the creative one, designed the rangoli, incorporating symbols like a heart and hands to represent life-saving generosity. Heer and Ruhii, both skilled in art, worked on the intricate details, while the rest of the girls helped with other tasks.

After hours of teamwork, their rangoli, both beautiful and impactful, won first prize. The victory was a proud moment for the group, a reminder of the power of collaboration and the message they had shared. all girls felt a quiet satisfaction, knowing that, despite everything, this was a moment they had created together.

It was the last day of school before Diwali vacation, and after winning the first prize for their rangoli, the girls headed back to their classroom. Kanika walked in, only to find Nirvaan sitting at her desk. She froze for a moment, but with no choice, she walked over and sat down.

She reached for her water bottle to take a sip, but it was empty. Looking around, she glanced at Nirvaan, who smiled at her. Feeling a little uncomfortable, she asked Tara and Heer if they had drunk from her bottle, but both denied it.

Nirvaan then casually said, "Oh, my water was finished, so I drank from yours."

A strange feeling stirred in Kanika's stomach, a mix of surprise and something else she couldn't quite place. She tried to keep her tone light, but couldn't help saying, "You should've asked me. It's my leftover water, you know na ."

Nirvaan's eyes widened in surprise, and he made an exaggerated "O" face at Kanika's response. Kanika, feeling a strange tension in the air, quickly stood up and moved to sit next to Heer, hoping some distance would ease her discomfort. But Nirvaan's expression faltered, his smile fading as he watched her leave.
