Greyson's POV
Saying goodbye to my siblings was the most fucking hardest thing I could do. Saying goodbye to my dad? Easy.
"Be safe." Was all he said as I left him to wallow in his bedroom. Keith wouldn't be staying here fortunately but I'd see what I have to do about his situation when the time comes. Right now he's given me the grace to have my kids in this house with him just coming to check up every now and then. He didn't say that to me but to my dad and I guess apart of me was desperate to give these kids some life.
This kids that were waiting down for me as I walked down the stairs.
Five children lined up at the door with red eyes and sniffles making my heart shatter with each walk.
Catherine was crouched down talking to Grace and Jacks as they hugged her before ruffling Sean's hair and hugging Violet. She turned to me and smiled sadly. "I'll make sure everything's inside." She said giving us some privacy as she walked out.
"I don't want you to-" Grace stopped mid-sentence as Sean nudged her with his shoulder. "I'm going to miss you."
"And I'll miss all of you. Always." I say feeling teary-eyed. "But I'll be back. I promise. And then we'll have our forever."
"Really?" Sean spoke up with surprised eyes as I nodded. "Cool. I'll uh miss you too."
"You too, big man." I ruffle his hair and pull the three little ones in a hug before turning to Violet. "And you know I'll always be here for you too? I'm one call away. Always."
"I know, G." She hugged me tightly her eyes shut close. "Now we have Catherine's number too so if you ever get annoyed us."
I chuckle sniffing. "Be good. Okay, guys?"
"Okay." Jacks clapped not quite understanding the situation. "Bye-bye!"
"Bye!" I wave at them as they lead me to my car and I get in waving at them.
Catherine pulled the windows down allowing us to wave as I watched them disappear in my rearview. "This will all be worth it."
"I pray." I don't tear my eyes off the rearview watching as their faces crumple thinking I'm gone.
Now that Dad was going to be around too I just had a stupid hope that he would look out for them. Even if it was so much as letting them know he existed.
At least they could spare their sadness from me whilst I built a life for them. For us. For Catherine.
I look at my girlfriend and all my worries fade to nothing.
We'll get to have a forever. I swear it on my life.
