Halloween Special

I'm so sorry in advance, I lost motivation half way through and it's not complete, not proofread, and it doesn't really make sense so

If y'all want a second part I can make one, but my motivation to write went down so much, it's buried under Tartarus.

Situation; you host a party

"I'm so glad everyone could make it!" I squealed, delighted that so many people showed up. "We wouldn't miss this for the world, Y/n. Don't worry." Yanfei shot me a smile.

"Although...." I began counting heads. A few people were missing. "Who's missing? Xiao, Scara, Neuvillette... It doesn't matter. Thank you all for coming."

"Ayato and Thoma couldn't make it. They are at some important business meeting or something." Ayaka spoke up, her white hair bouncing around her shoulders.

"Her Excellency couldn't come either, she is chatting with The Raiden Shogun, Kojou Sara and Yae Miko."

"Thank you Gorou. Anyway, please enjoy yourselves, food is over there, drinks over there, I'm sorry Kaeya, Rosaria and Venti, there is no alcohol." Sighs of relief and gasps of horror filled the air.
"Ohhh." Venti groaned. I laughed, my eyes lighting up.

I loved that they all decided to spend their Halloween here with me.

"Music will start up as soon as someone pushes that button on the speaker." I gestured to said speaker, my hand outstretched. Kaeya immediately pushed the play button, and music started up.

Everyone made their way around on their own business, while I walked over to Yanfei, Yelan, Kuki, Ayaka and Navia. The Geo wielder hugged me, her arms squeezing my rib cage so tight, I felt like I couldn't breathe properly. She had dressed up as a president (which was fitting, since she was the president of the Spina Di Rosula)

"Thank you for inviting me, Silver and Melus! I'm honored!" She squealed in my ear, making my wince slightly.

"Navia, it's no problem, I should be honored that the President of the Spina di Rosula even showed up! And I love your costume!" I hugged her back. "Melus suggested that I wear a suit, and I agreed!"

I glanced around at the others, still listening to Navia chatter on.
Yelan wasn't dressed up at all, Yanfei was dressed up as a formal lawyer, Kuki had a samurai costume, and Ayaka was strutting a gorgeous ball gown. I wasn't sure what she was supposed to be, but she looked gorgeous either way.

"It's tragic that a few people aren't here though." Yelan pointed out.
"Yeah, well, I can understand all of their absences. Xiao for obvious reasons, and Scaramouche too, Neuvillette is probably working, and the others gave other explanations."

Ayaka and Yanfei glanced at each other as I rambled on.
"I wouldn't be so sure of some of that."

They were both glancing at something- or someone- behind me. I whirled around, expecting to see- I don't know, but definitely not Xiao... with black cat ears and a cat tail...

I pulled him into a tight hug, hiding my face in the nape of his neck (mainly to hide my laughter.)
"You could make it after all!" He nodded stiffly, not really looking pleased at the fact of having to wear cat ears. I wondered who forced him to put them on.

"I thought I could see you for a few minutes. Not too long, because of my-"

"Because if you're karmic debt, yes I know. I'm still glad you came."
The lights suddenly turned off, and my heart skipped a beat. Xiao gripped my hand protectively, before he seemed to realize what he was doing. His hand left mine, taking his warmth with him.

I scanned the dark room, trying to see something when I got blinded by red, green and blue flashes of light followed by more flashes of purple, yellow and orange. Disco lights. I saw (not to my surprise) Kaeya and Venti standing next to a disco light. Xiao shot them a glare.

I saw him contemplate if he should say anything, before he decided to hold his tongue.
Xiao bit his bottom lip while I watched him out of the corner of my eye.

I glanced at the girls. They were staring at me and Xiao, the biggest smiles on their lips, trying not to squeal. I rolled my eyes at them.
When the music hit a very loud note, Xiao groaned, clutching his ears

"Y/n, my karmic debt is fluctuating, I should go." And he disappeared just like that, leaving me behind. My heart ached a bit as he left. His presence felt comforting to me.

The group of girls began to talk about something uninteresting to me- I think it was crushes or something- so I left the group, heading towards my buffet table.

It was decorated with beautiful cakes and brownies, cupcakes and muffins, and a variety of other healthier foods as well. (I loved to bake and cook, plus a few guests brought some food)

"Hey Y/n!"
My head shot up at my name being called by a certain general.
"Hey Gorou! How are you doing? How is Kokomi? Is she doing alright? Not overworking herself I hope."
"Her Excellency is doing well as far as I can tell. She has been taking more and more breaks, which could be good or bad."

I smiled. "Thanks. Please continue to keep an eye on her, and don't be afraid to push her to take breaks. And how are you, Gorou?"

"Doing better, now the war is at a standstill."

Someone tapped my shoulder before I could ask anything more. I turned and my vision was filled with blonde hair. "Lumine! Aether! Hi!" I hugged Lumine first, then Aether. "Glad you could come! How have your travels been coming along?"

"Better than usual, we didn't offend any gods this time." Aether joked, and Lumine hit his chest.
"Hey, our adventures were good before too- just a little more dangerous."
Aether and I gave each other a look, and Linien laughed. "Yeah ok, guess you're both right."

"Y/n! I haven't seen you all night!" Diluc walked towards me, a cup of grape juice in his hand. "Hey Diluc." I hugged him, and he pulled me close to his chest. Glancing up when I pulled away, I saw his lips twitch up into a smile. That was rare.
He nodded towards Lumine and Aether politely, his stoic expression back on his face.
