Halloween at Palm Woodsylvania was truly an event for the ages. Supernatural beings of all kinds were let loose. The door to the human world was thinner, and it wasn't unusual for strange things to happen.Olive did her best to stay out of people's way. As one of the few seers in the hotel, people liked to come to her on Halloween, asking questions about their futures and what the universe would bring to them.
It drove her crazy. Case in point, Carlos had been following her around like a love sick child for the last forty minutes, begging her to read his future.
"Please Ollie?" Olive rolled her eyes at him. He would not give up. Maybe that was the special ingredient Frankenstein had added into him - stubbornness.
"Nope. The Olive shop is closed for the day." She said, putting an emphasis on the word closed. Carlos pouted.
"C'mon. Won't you help a fellow monster out?" Olive shook her head.
"I helped you out last time, and look what good that got me." Carlos sighed. He crossed his arms over his chest and Olive did her best to not grimace as his stitches pulled apart.
"Fine. Guess I'll tell Logan that you won't help him."
Olive paused, worrying her lip between her teeth. "Logan?" She asked, and Carlos nodded, a slow grin forming on his face.
He had her hook line and sinker, and the worst part was, he knew it.
"He keeps losing his limbs. Lighting keeps trying to bite them." Olive sighed. Of course that would be her boyfriend's problem.
She had told him not to let his limbs fall off in front of the Old English Sheepdog, but did he listen to his girlfriend who could literally see the future? No.
"Fine." She grumbled, "But he better get me something to make up for this bullshit." Carlos grinned, and the static in the room became more tense than before.
Olive winced, placing her hands on her friend's shoulders, and steering him away from the TV.
What? She didn't need her powers to know that an excited Franken-Carlos should not be allowed near a expensive TV.That was just simple common sense.
