A Night to Remember

As the days rolled by, our team was fully immersed in refining the prototype of the crystal. Eren, Armin, and I spent long hours in the lab, analyzing every detail and making adjustments based on our findings. Each day, we grew closer to our goal, the excitement palpable as the final version began to take shape.

After what felt like an eternity of hard work, we finally succeeded. The crystal shimmered on the table before us, its surface smooth and reflective, a symbol of our collective effort and determination. I couldn't help but stare in awe.

"We did it!" I exclaimed, barely able to contain my excitement. Eren and Armin cheered, throwing high-fives in celebration.

"This is incredible! We have to let everyone know!" Eren shouted, grinning from ear to ear.

Armin nodded, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Let's throw a party! We deserve to celebrate this milestone before the big presentation to the higher-ups."

The idea was met with unanimous agreement. After weeks of intense focus and stress, we needed a moment to breathe and appreciate our hard work. As word spread throughout the Ackerman Company, excitement began to build. It felt like the whole place was buzzing with energy.

Later that evening, we gathered in a large conference room, which had been transformed into a festive space adorned with colorful decorations and tables piled high with food. Laughter echoed off the walls as everyone mingled, celebrating our success.

"Who knew we could throw a party like this?" I remarked to Eren, who was happily sampling snacks at the buffet.

"Right? This is way better than our usual workdays!" Eren replied, mouth full of snacks, a big grin on his face.

Armin approached, carrying a tray of drinks. "I think this is well-deserved. You both worked incredibly hard. We all did!"

As we laughed and chatted with our colleagues, I caught sight of Levi standing a bit apart from the crowd, observing the festivities with a slight smirk on his face. He seemed relaxed, a rare sight for someone usually so serious. Intrigued, I wandered over to him.

"Enjoying the party?" I asked, trying to keep the conversation light.

He glanced at me, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "It's... not what I expected. Everyone seems to be in high spirits."

I smiled, feeling a warmth in my chest. "We worked really hard for this moment. I think we all deserve a little celebration."

Levi nodded, his expression softening. "You did well, (Y/n). The crystal is impressive. You led the team admirably."

His praise made my heart race a little. "Thank you, Levi. That means a lot coming from you."

As the night went on, I noticed Levi subtly moving closer to me, engaging in conversation as if he was genuinely interested in what I had to say. I was surprised by how comfortable I felt around him, despite his reputation for being intimidating.

"So, (Y/n)," Levi said, his voice steady yet soft, "what drew you to the Crystal Project?"

I took a moment to gather my thoughts. "Well, I've always been fascinated by the potential of materials science. When I stumbled upon the idea of creating a nearly indestructible crystal, I couldn't help but think of the applications it could have for protection and defense. I want to create something that could truly make a difference."

Levi nodded, his expression thoughtful. "That kind of ambition is rare. It's important to have that drive."

I felt a flutter of encouragement from his words, igniting my determination even further. Just then, Hange burst in, her enthusiasm electrifying the atmosphere. "Alright, everyone! Let's celebrate! We've got a milestone to mark, and that calls for a party!"
