A few days passed, and the atmosphere in the lab shifted as our team grew closer and more focused. We had hit a rhythm with the prototype for the crystal project, and the enthusiasm was palpable. Each day, I felt more confident in my abilities and the direction we were heading.

Armin and Eren continued to be indispensable, brainstorming ideas and helping to fine-tune our approach. "What if we adjusted the energy source?" Armin suggested one morning, leaning over the notes we had spread across the table. "It could enhance the properties of the crystal even further."

Eren nodded vigorously. "Yeah! And maybe we can use the extra energy to create a more stable structure. It's worth a shot!"

I smiled at their energy, feeling a rush of gratitude for their support. "Great ideas, both of you! Let's gather some data and see how we can incorporate those changes."

As we dove into our work, the door swung open, and Levi stepped in, his presence immediately commanding the room. "What's the status?" he asked, his voice steady and focused.

"We're making great progress, Levi!" I replied, eager to share our findings. "Armin suggested adjusting the energy source, and I think it could really take the prototype to the next level."

He nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Keep up the momentum. We need to ensure that everything is ready for the next meeting with the higher-ups."

I could see the weight of responsibility on his shoulders, and I felt a surge of determination to prove that I was capable of handling the pressure. "We'll be ready, I promise."

"Good. I'll check back in later," Levi said, glancing at the papers scattered across the table before turning to leave. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride knowing that he trusted us to deliver.

The rest of the day passed in a whirlwind of activity. As we continued refining our prototype, Hange swung by with her usual enthusiasm. "What's happening in here? I can feel the energy from down the hall!"

"Just making some adjustments," I said, glancing up from my notes. "Armin had some great ideas about the energy source."

Hange's eyes lit up. "Ooh, that sounds exciting! Keep me in the loop! I can't wait to see what you all come up with."

As she left, I felt a renewed sense of purpose. I wanted to show everyone that this project wasn't just a fluke; it was a testament to my hard work and dedication.

However, the excitement was short-lived. Later that afternoon, as we continued to work, the atmosphere in the lab shifted once again. Eren and Armin exchanged uneasy glances, their brows furrowed.

"What's wrong?" I asked, noticing their apprehension.

"I think I heard some of the higher-ups talking," Armin said quietly. "They're still skeptical about your role in the project. They want to make sure you're capable of leading."

My heart sank. I thought we had moved past their doubts. "But we've made so much progress! Why can't they see that?"

Eren shrugged, his expression serious. "They just don't get it. They're used to seeing men in these positions, and they're not ready for someone like you to take charge."

I clenched my fists, frustration bubbling beneath the surface. "I won't let them push me aside. I'm going to show them what I can do, no matter what."

Just then, Levi re-entered the lab, sensing the tension. "What's going on?" he asked, his eyes narrowing slightly as he assessed the situation.

"Just some talk about the higher-ups doubting (Y/n)'s role in the project," Armin explained. "They think she can't handle the pressure."

Levi's expression hardened, and I could see the flicker of anger in his gaze. "They have no right to undermine your work. You've proven yourself time and again."

I felt a surge of gratitude at his words, knowing that he had my back in this. "Thank you, Levi. I won't let their doubts stop me. I'm going to make this project succeed."

"Good," he replied, his voice steady. "And if they give you any trouble, I'll handle it."

I nodded, feeling bolstered by his support. "I appreciate that."

As the day continued, we pushed through the remaining tasks, determined to finalize our prototype. When we finally gathered around the table, the excitement in the room was infectious.

"Alright, team, this is it!" I said, looking around at their eager faces. "Let's make sure everything is ready for the presentation. We've come too far to let this slip away now."

Eren and Armin exchanged determined nods, and together we meticulously went through our notes, ensuring every detail was accounted for.

By the time we wrapped up, the lab was filled with a sense of accomplishment. I glanced at the prototype, a tangible representation of our hard work and dedication.

As we prepared to leave for the day, I felt a mix of anticipation and nerves. Tomorrow would be the day we presented our work to the higher-ups again, and I was determined to stand my ground.

"Let's show them what we're made of," I said, feeling a rush of confidence.

Eren grinned. "Yeah! We've got this!"

Armin smiled, his eyes shining with excitement. "I can't wait to see their reactions!"

As we walked out of the lab together, I felt a surge of hope. No matter what challenges lay ahead, I was ready to face them head-on—with my team beside me.
