and i'll forget you, but i'll never forgive

And i'll forget you,
But i'll never forgive,
The way you broke me,
Shattered me into pieces,
Left to for me to pick up,
It's not like you helped.
I was way too young,
Way too young for you and what you did.
It shouldn't have been on me,
To put myself back together,
Hell, you shouldn't have done it in the first place.
I was already damaged before you,
And instead of helping me up,
You were dragging me down.

"And i'll forget you,
But i'll never forgive"
That's what i told myself, you heard it.
You don't deserve my forgivness,
I know you don't.
But some part of me,
The innocent one you could say,
Wants to give it to you,
To move on,
Start something new.
To finally make peace with the shadows of the past.
But even if it worked,
The scars you left won't heal themselves.
