The chaos in the gallery seemed to stretch on forever, each second laden with tension and fear. Elara's heart raced as she led Anayra through the throng of terrified guests, urging them toward the back exit. The sounds of shouting and gunfire echoed around them, a grim reminder of the danger they faced.

As they reached the door, Elara turned back one last time, catching a glimpse of Adrean, resolute with a gun in his hand, his expression fierce. Ethan was locked in a fierce struggle with one of the assailants, his movements quick and agile. Then, she spotted Luca on the stage, a calm smile on his face, holding a gun as if he had been waiting for this moment.

“Luca, what are you doing?” Elara shouted, fear rising in her chest.

“Just keeping things interesting,” he replied coolly. “Don’t worry, I’ve got a plan.”

“Stay here,” Anayra whispered, but Elara couldn’t watch without helping. “We need to assist them!”

With resolve, Elara and Anayra began shouting for the crowd to head toward the back exit. The chaos intensified, and Elara’s heart raced as she witnessed Ethan narrowly avoid a bullet.

“Adrean!” she cried, desperation flooding her voice. He met her gaze briefly, urging her to get everyone to safety.

“Get them out!” he shouted, standing his ground against the attackers.

Luca fired a warning shot from the stage, commanding attention. “Follow Elara and Anayra! They know the way out!”

Once outside, the group scattered into the cool night air. Elara and Anayra stood huddled behind a nearby car, catching their breath. Elara felt tears welling in her eyes, the weight of the night crashing down on her.

“Are you okay?” Anayra asked, concern etched on her face.

“I just… I can’t believe this happened,” Elara stammered, her voice breaking. “It was so terrifying.”

Suddenly, before she could say more, Ethan appeared, breathing heavily. Without a word, he pulled Elara into a tight embrace. “You’re safe now,” he murmured, holding her close as she began to cry. The warmth of his body wrapped around her, a comforting shield against the chaos that still echoed in her mind.

“Ethan…” she whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Adrean, watching from a distance, felt a strange mix of emotions. He was grateful that Elara was safe but couldn’t help feeling a pang of something deeper at the sight of Ethan holding her. He furrowed his brow, unsure of what to make of it.

Luca, leaning casually against the side of the building, caught Adrean’s eye and smirked. “Looks like Ethan’s making his move, huh? I mean, who knew he had such a soft side?”

Adrean shot him a glare, but the tension in his chest only grew. “This isn’t the time for jokes, Luca.”

“Come on, lighten up! It’s a real bonding moment,” Luca teased, his voice playful. “You could learn a thing or two about comfort from him.”

Ethan released Elara, who wiped her tears and took a shaky breath. “Thank you,” she said, her voice still thick with emotion.

“Anytime,” he replied softly, his gaze lingering on her.

Luca leaned closer to Adrean, still grinning. “You know, if you want to be the hero, you might need to step up your game. Just saying!”

Adrean clenched his jaw, feeling a mix of irritation and confusion. He didn’t know how to process the feelings swirling inside him, but Luca’s teasing wasn’t helping.
