As the spinning teacups slowed to a stop, the group dismounted, laughter still bubbling from their adventure. The funfair was alive with lights and sounds, and the night was far from over. Elara took a moment to catch her breath, feeling the thrill of the rides still coursing through her.

“Okay, what should we do next?” Luca asked, glancing at the various attractions surrounding them.

Ethan rubbed his hands together, a mischievous glint in his eye. “I saw a game over there that looks like a classic boys’ challenge. You know, the one where you try to knock over bottles with a baseball? I’m totally up for it if you are, Luca.”

Luca’s face lit up. “Count me in! I’ve been dying to show off my arm strength. Watch out, bottles!”

Nayra rolled her eyes at the boys’ enthusiasm. “Boys and their games. I’m going to find a perfect spot for a photo. There’s that cute backdrop with the fairy lights. I need to document this night!”

“Good luck with that, Nayra! Just don’t take too long; we’ll be missing out on the fun!” Ethan teased.

Elara chimed in, “I’d love to take a picture with you! But first, I want to play that duck game over there.” She pointed to a colorful booth where rubber ducks floated in a small pool, each with a number underneath. “I’ve always wanted to win a prize from there!”

Adrean glanced at her, a smile spreading across his face. “I’ll join you! That sounds like a blast.”

“Great!” Elara said, her face lighting up. “Let’s go!”

As the group began to split up, Nayra waved goodbye to them. “I’ll catch up with you guys in a bit. Just don’t take too long, or I’ll have to post an embarrassing picture of you all!”

“Good luck with that!” Ethan shouted back, a grin on his face. “Just be careful not to photobomb any couples!”

With that, Elara and Adrean headed toward the duck game, leaving the boys to their challenge. As they approached the booth, the cheerful music and the bright colors filled Elara with nostalgia. The game was simple: pick a duck, see what number you got, and hope it was a winning one.

“This is so cute!” Elara exclaimed, picking up a bright yellow duck. “I can’t remember the last time I played a game like this.”

Adrean chuckled, grabbing a duck for himself. “It’s a classic! Let’s see if we can win something ridiculous.”

They took turns selecting ducks, their competitive spirits ignited. Elara squealed with delight when she pulled a winning number. “I did it! I won a plush duck!” she exclaimed, holding up her prize triumphantly.

“Nice! Look at you, the queen of the duck pond,” Adrean teased, his eyes twinkling. “But can you top this?” He pulled his own duck, revealing a winning number as well.

“Looks like we both have some skills!” Elara laughed, her heart soaring with joy.

As they continued to play, the laughter and playful banter flowed easily between them. Elara couldn’t help but feel grateful for this moment, where everything felt light and carefree.

Meanwhile, across the fair, Ethan and Luca stood at the baseball toss booth, each eyeing the stacked bottles with determination.

“Okay, I’m going first!” Ethan said, picking up a baseball and aiming with exaggerated focus. He threw it with all his might, but it missed the bottles entirely and hit a nearby trash can instead.

Luca burst into laughter. “Nice throw, buddy! Are you aiming for the trash or the bottles?”

“Very funny! Let me try that again,” Ethan replied, shaking off the embarrassment. He picked up another ball, this time with a determined look. He threw it again, but this time it hit the bottles, only to bounce off harmlessly.
