Blitz pov:

I fiddled with the apartment keys in my hands for about five minutes, not really sure on what was happening as I almost dozed off whilst standing.

Today was mayhem. Most days are with Moxxie around, but today was absolute carnage.
First, Moxxie set the second tank of Eels on fire.
Second, Moxxie was stabbed, resulting in a feral Millie
Third, we got stranded in a desert after the crystal was refusing to work
And Forth, actually there isn't a fourth, I just can't count.

Although it doesn't sound like much, the events of the My Little Pony hangover and the Swiss Cheese v/s Hot sauce massacre from the previous night was not helping.
Also the whole crystal thing with... you know who.

The door finally clicked open, I dumped my bloody blazer on the floor, discarded the keys to the kitchen counter and flopped down on the couch, my body already shutting down.

I texted Loona, knowing she was at a party that she would have to get a taxi home, before my phone fell to the floor and exhaustion took over.

A loud bang shook me from my sleep, I groaned, sinking further into the couch, snuggling up to my blanket and pillow more.
Probably just the neighbours going at it again, sometimes I swear they can be worse than me and Sto-

Never mind

I closed my eyes, my mind now plagued with his beautiful heart-shaped face and flame eyes, preparing to go back to sleep, and probably have another nightmare if that fateful night.

The sound of breaking glass alerted me that it might not be the neighbours, I shot up onto my feet, ripping out my spare gun from under the couch pillows and aiming it at the intruder

"Don't take another FUCKING st- Oh." I cut off

In the darkness, a tall fluffy figure with a poofy tail stood in the doorway, the door slammed shut, slight coming off its hinges, the frame of their body shaking.

"Satan Loona, gave me a fright!" I said putting a hand to my heart and chuckling lightly.
"You can go to bed sweetie and I'll clean up the... Sweetie?"

Her dark figure continued to quake in the door, her fingers hugging tightly at her arms.
I choked sob shook her body, I felt my heart skip a beat and my eyes widen as I made my way towards her.

Another sob broke loose as she turned to me, her head low.
"Loonie, my sweet baby what's wrong?" I said, tucking her hair behind her ears so I could see her face.

Before I could, she flew her arms around me, her legs collapsing into me as she hugged me on her knees, she wailed in my arms as I felt my heart race.

I hugged her closely as she sobbed into my shoulder, tears drowning me as she wailed and sobbed and cried , her claws digging into my back.
Something warm trickled down my spine and onto my tail, but I didn't care.

"Shhhh, my beautiful darling girl, it's ok, whatever's happened it'll be ok" I said, hugging her whilst stroking her matted hair with my hand.

"Daddy! D-Daddy p-please don't l-leave me, I'm s-sorry, IM SO SORRY! I'm s-sorry I'm such a bitch to you! I'm sorry, I'm s-sorry...!"

Daddy

I've never been called that before... I'm-

I'm her Daddy.

I am.

"My darling you are the best daughter I could ever ask for, that's why I picked you. You are daughter and my daughter only."

She sobbed harder into my shoulder as she wrapped her legs around me like a child, and I cradled her back, never letting go.

I hushed her as I rocked side to side, her tears and wails breaking my heart in half.

"Daddy?..." she choked out, her voice frail.

"Yes Loonie?" I said, cupping her doll face.

"Please, p-please! Don't t-take me back to-to the pound, I don't wanna g-go back! Ple-" she sobbed, before wailing back into my shoulder

My heart stopped as I gasped, I pulled her away from me, her arms flying up to her face as she tried to wipe away the flow of tears

"Look at me" I said, holding my hands firmly on her shoulders
She looked up at me, her beautiful eyes glossed with tears, filled red in distress, her ears and tail flopped further downwards before she broke down, looking down at the ground again once she saw my face.

"Loonie... look at me..." I said, putting my hand under her muzzle and guiding her to my gaze.

"You are my baby. My beautiful little baby. And you always have been. From the moment I saw you in that horrid pound, crying your eyes out, I knew you were my daughter. Thats why I chose you. And if I had to I would pick you again, in every universe, every outcome, you will always be my baby"

She had gone silent, her sobs instead short gasps of sorrow.
Her arms flew around me again, a few loose tears rolling down my back.

She sniffled before releasing me, looking deep into my eyes and trying to give a small smile before looking down and rubbing her eyes fiercely.

"Sorry, just... not a great n-night" she whispered.
I placed a hand on her thigh, the other on her head as I leaned forwards and petted her head, her tail perking up slightly as she leaned into the touch.

It quickly dropped as she looked at the floor
"Shit! I'm so so sorry I didn't mean to make you bleed dad!" She cried, putting a hand on my back to stop the bleeding.

"Don't worry dear, I didn't even notice, I've had worse...." I said, pulling her shaking arm away.

I stood up, holding out a hand to her, she took it and I heaved her up off the floor, putting an arm around her back, not being able to reach her shoulders as I guided her to her room.

She stopped in front of her door, scowling lightly at the 'do not enter' sign.

"Can I... Can I sleep- never mi-" "Of course you can my baby" I cut off, already guiding her to the couch.

I sat down, shuffling up to the side of the couch as much as I could, allowing her to lie down, her head resting on my lap, her body in between my legs.

I stroked her hair, lulling her to sleep as the previous exhaustion began to catch up to me.

Just before I dozed off, Loonas voice opened my eyes.

"Dad?" She asked, her gorgeous eyes looking up at me.
"Hmm?" I hummed softly

"I'll be better, I promise daddy..." she said, turning her nuzzle into my thigh as sleep took over.

Before I shut my eyes I responded

"You're already perfect"

"My baby..."
