Abhimanyu was still in shock from what had just happened when Akshara abruptly broke the kiss. She kept her gaze lowered, fidgeting nervously with the ring on her finger, unable to meet his eyes. Abhimanyu stood frozen, his mind reeling, trying to process everything. He glanced at Akshara, who looked as if she was mustering the courage to say something.

"Abhi-" she began softly, but before she could finish, Abhimanyu stood up abruptly and said, "Akshara, I know... it must've been a mistake. Please, there's no need to feel embarrassed. I won't misunderstand or assume anything. I promise."

Without waiting for her response, he turned and walked out of the ward, leaving Akshara stunned.

For a moment, she simply stared at the door, unable to believe what had just happened. Then, her shock turned into frustration. "Stupid doctor!" she muttered under her breath. "He didn't even let me finish! I was about to tell him that it wasn't a mistake... I kissed him on purpose!"

Her frustration grew as she replayed his words. "So much for not assuming anything. He just assumed the whole situation himself! What does he think this is-a movie? Where the heroine accidentally falls onto the hero and their lips touch? Honestly, is he even a real doctor, or did he get his degree through donations?"

She folded her arms and puffed out her cheeks in a mix of anger and embarrassment. "Just wait till he comes back. I won't say a single word to him! First, he was just 'Chirkuram.' Now, after six years, he's turned into 'Budhuram!'"

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu had entered his cabin, shutting the door behind him. He leaned against it, placing his hand over his chest. His heart was pounding so hard, he could hear it without a stethoscope.

"What is happening to me?" he whispered to himself. "Why am I behaving like this? This isn't the first time something like this has happened..." He sank into his chair, running a hand through his hair.

His thoughts wandered back to their past. "Back then... when we were together... we were more than this... We're Abhir's parents, for God's sake. So why am I feeling like this is the first time she's ever kissed me?"

He sighed deeply, his confusion only growing as his heart refused to calm down. "Why does it feel like she's still the Akshara who can make me lose all sense of reason... even after all this time?"

As Abhimanyu sat in his cabin, still trying to steady his racing heart, a thought crossed his mind. What if Akshara kissed me intentionally? For a brief moment, the idea filled him with a strange hope, but he quickly shook his head, forcing himself out of the reverie.

"No, no, no! Don't overthink, Dr. Abhimanyu," he muttered to himself, rubbing his temples. "You've done enough damage by assuming things in the past. Remember what happened when you imagined that Akshara didn't love you, even after she saved your life by risking her own? That mistake cost you dearly back then."

He let out a deep sigh and leaned back in his chair. "Enough is enough. From now on, no more imagining things. Focus on reality, Abhimanyu."

Just as he resolved to clear his head, Akshara's ward became the center of activity. The first to visit her were Manish and Suhasini. Suhasini's eyes welled up the moment she saw Akshara lying there, connected to multiple machines, her body bandaged from the accident.

Suhasini burst into tears, saying, "Why, God? Why do you always put our children through such pain? Take me instead of them!"

Akshara, though weak, mustered a small smile and replied softly, "Mimi, please don't say things like that. What happened is in the past. This was just an accident. Don't stress yourself-you know your health doesn't permit it. If you get unwell, who will take care of all of us?"
