Y/n sat alone in her room, surrounded by the quiet tranquility of the evening. The others were recovering in the infirmary, under Shoko's gentle care. Satoru and Geto had departed to meet with the principal, discussing the recent turmoil and the failed Culling Game. Though the immediate danger had passed, an undercurrent of unease lingered.

Y/n sought solace on her dorm's balcony, cradling a steaming cup of coffee in her hands. The stars twinkled above, casting a celestial glow over the campus. The cool night breeze carried the sweet scent of blooming cherry blossoms, their delicate petals swaying gently in the wind.

Inside, Kuroshi lay on Y/n's bed, his presence a comforting constant. Suddenly, he slipped out of the room and appeared beside Y/n on the balcony. "Hey, you've been quiet lately," he said, his voice soft with concern.

Y/n nodded, her eyes fixed on the horizon. Kuroshi continued, "I know things have been tough, but we're all safe now. You don't have to worry."

However, Y/n's responses were monosyllabic, her nods mechanical. Kuroshi's words hung in the air, unanswered. His brow furrowed, annoyance creeping into his tone. "Seriously, Y/n? You're not even listening, are you?"

Y/n's gaze drifted toward him, her eyes apologetic, but her silence persisted. Kuroshi's frustration grew, his words trailing off into an uncomfortable silence.

Kuroshi's eyes flashed with anger as he turned away, his voice low and laced with hurt. "You do this to me every time, Y/n. Every single time." The stars above seemed to dim in response to the pain etched on his face.

Y/n's gentle gaze followed him, her brow furrowed in concern. "What do you mean, Kuroshi?" she asked, her voice soft and inviting.

Kuroshi's response was barely audible, his words muffled by the night air. "Whenever I need you, you're never there. And when you need me, you ignore me afterwards." His fingers tightened around the railing, knuckles white with tension.

"Even when Katherine manipulated me, you didn't stop me. I was always the one burdened." Kuroshi's voice cracked, memories of past betrayals flooding back. "You changed after Katherine's influence, Y/n. You stopped talking to me, and I thought... I thought one day you'd come back to me, but you never did."

The campus landscape stretched out before them, eerily silent as Kuroshi's emotions hung in the balance. "Now, in this life, you asked for my help, and I gave it. But even now, no gratitude, no acknowledgment." His sentence trailed off, lost in the darkness.

Y/n's eyes widened in shock, the weight of Kuroshi's words settling upon her. She had missed this – the depth of his pain, the longevity of his devotion. In their past life, Kuroshi had been her elder twin brother, always caring for her, always protecting her. And yet, she had neglected him, taken him for granted.

In this life, their bond was different – no shared blood, no familial ties. Only memories of a past life lingered, and still, Kuroshi stood by her, willing to support her through every trial. The realization struck Y/n like a thunderbolt: she was repeating the same mistake, neglecting the one person who had always been there for her.
