Folklore's Perspective

I was reading a book in the library in the house, it was filled with dozens of books that seemed like they were in endless supply and to some that would be daunting, but to me it felt like i was free.

Reading lets me escape into worlds and perspectives, sometimes i wish i could just live in a book

The only people that really came in here was me, my sister and poets, maybe occasionally lover when she looks for new recipes to make for us, she is so good cooking its like a God given talent

( i always have to mention lover somewhere in a story or i cant move on :3)

So when i heard the subtle and delicate turn of the door handle, i expected it to be my sister so i greeted her even though i didn't pry my eyes away from the book

"Evie?" I called out to her

"Uhm hey, its not evermore, sorry were you expecting her?" I heard a soft voice call out

Speak now.

I immediately placed in a book mark and snapped my head over in her direction

"Oh- um hi speak now" i stuttered  and i was about fully sure that my cheeks were basically tomatoes and she giggled

She walked over to me and leaned against my chair

"whatcha readin?" She smiled over me

"Uhm let me see- Where The Crawdads Sing"
I told her as i flipped the book back

"Mmm sounds interesting, i think ive beard about it before somewhere" she said, looking pretty intrigued

"Im sure you have" i smiled at her even though i know for a fact she has not

Speak Now's Perspective

What Ive literally never heard of that book in my life and it does not sound interesting at all

But, if it was meaningful to lorie, it was meaningful to me

Is this what being whipped feels like? I can pretty much confirm that she likes me, like theres no doubt about it, shes always nervous when im around her, or is she like that with everyone...

I want to tell her how i feel but i feel like simply saying it wasn't enough, i felt the need to do more then just go "i like you"

"I was wondering if you wanted to go and have a picnic with me later?" I smiled at her

"Of course! I would love to speakie"

YES. YES. YES. YES. YES. YES. I was internally celebrating my success when i heard her soft voice call out to me

"Speak? You hanging in there?" She snapped me out of my internal conversation

"Oh-what? Sorry yeah i was just thinking about something but i gotta go now bye! Oh yeah! See you at 7 okay? At the lakes under the big tree"

"Okay" she smiled at me "see you"

After hanging out with lorie for awhile im pretty sure i know some of her favorite stuff, so i went to pick them up
